The apartment is in the 17th-century Hanlith Hall, surrounded by gorgeous gardens and woodlands in the Yorkshire Dales. Sleeping five guests and two pups, the apartment suits both families and groups of friends. The area is awash with beauty spots to explore with the woofers, including Scaleber Force Waterfall, Gordale Scar, and Malham Cove (all within 4 miles). The long-distance Pennine Way walking trail also passes the property, providing you with endless hiking opportunities.
Three steps lead down into the apartment, which is arranged across one floor. Leave your coats and dog leads in the grand hallway, before heading into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. This sociable space is bright and airy and is decorated in a homely style, with plenty of creature comforts for a relaxing stay. Cook up a storm in the kitchen and enjoy memorable mealtimes around the large dining table by the window. After dinner, retire to the comfortable lounge area, to watch TV with Rover and Fido curled at your feet. The property has three bedrooms: there is a king-size and a twin with en-suite facilities, as well as a cosy single. There is also a separate shower room. Outside, steps lead to a private garden, where the woofers can stretch their legs and you can dine alfresco.
Head into the idyllic village of Kirkby Malham (0.5 miles) to dine in the traditional Yorkshire pub, followed by a picturesque walk with the hounds along the River Aire. From here, you can also visit Malham Cove (2.5 miles). This stunning amphitheatre-shaped limestone cliff is a sight to behold and offers jaw-dropping views down the dale towards Malham and beyond. The historic town of Skipton (10 miles) is also a must for the agenda, with its woof-friendly medieval castle, canal and woodland walks, and its great selection of independent restaurants.
