This pristine cottage has an enclosed garden, village green and long-distance footpath on the doorstep… and when Fido’s worn out, a cosy dog bed is waiting for him to climb into.
An open-plan lounge/dining room welcomes you into this pretty end-of-terrace property; with a Smart TV, wood burner and dog bed in the alcove, there’s a clear invitation to relax and recharge here. A traditional dining suite to one end of the room is where you’ll linger over meals; the contemporary kitchen is close by and has all the essentials for an effortless self-catering stay. There’s a step up into this room, and a door to the garden so Fido can wander in and out at will. A modern family bathroom with underfloor heating completes the comfort of the ground floor, and when you’re all dog-tired, two first-floor bedrooms – one double and one single – each has their own TV. A few steps from the property, there’s an enclosed garden where Fido can run around while you fire up the BBQ; don’t forget to save a sausage for him!
Unspoilt Aldborough has all the ingredients of village life, including a friendly local pub and shop plus children’s play facilities. There are lots to explore on the doorstep, including The Weaver’s Way – a 61-mile trail which showcases some of the county’s most stunning scenery. Cromer (7 miles) is a thriving seaside town where you can wander along the prom, play fetch on the sand and tuck into ice creams or locally-sourced seafood. At low tide, you can walk off the calories with a hike along the beach to Sheringham – it’s a 4.5-mile walk with East and West Runton between the two for refreshment stops. Away from the coast, the National Trust’s Felbrigg Hall (4 miles) has plenty of parkland for Fido to explore. Or you could drive to well-heeled Holt, an elegant Georgian town with a 100-acre country park at its edge.
