Close to the coastal path, this detached property offers sophisticated social space alongside four beautiful bedrooms and an enclosed garden where two dogs are welcome. Warm coastal hues and contemporary comforts set the scene for a memorable break at this Blakeney bolthole.
Enjoy downtime in the light and welcoming lounge, where everyone can enjoy a movie together, or gather in the open-plan kitchen/diner – the table sits beside French doors which will allow Fido to wander at will. Aspiring chefs and coffee lovers will adore the stylish kitchen area, where there’s everything required to cook up a feast and a choice of coffee machines for morning pick-me-ups. Four beautifully decorated first-floor bedrooms provide for peaceful slumbers. Two super-king-size rooms each have their own en-suite shower room; on request, one of these beds can be made up as twins. A third super-king-size room and a final king-size room complete the convenience; close by is a spacious family bathroom with both a bath and a separate shower. Outside, the lawn is bordered by flowerbeds – Fido can enjoy games of fetch before you fire up the BBQ.
Famous for its flint cottages and tidal creek, Blakeney is home to friendly pubs and upmarket shops that complement its two-towered church and ancient quay. Take a boat from here to Blakeney Point, where thousands of seal pups are born each winter – well-behaved dogs are welcome on the trips out to see them. For a walk at the water’s edge, try the shingle beach at Salthouse (5 miles), or head to Holkham, 11.5 miles away – Fido will go mutts for a sniff around the 3,000-acre estate, and the 2-mile walk through pine trees to Holkham Beach is a must. Similarly, no visit to North Norfolk would be complete without a stroll at Wells-next-the-Sea (9 miles) – it’s a local tradition that the mile-long walk between the beach and quayside is rewarded with fish and chips!
