We have stayed here twice and booked a third visit already. This is a nice clean well equipped cottage that is practical too. The utility conservatory area is great to go into with the dogs and allow us to remove leads and clean paws before entering the house. Also the tiled floor is cool for hot dogs in warmer weather. The beds are large and comfRead moreortable with crisp linen. This is a well dressed cottage and the little welcome of tea coffee and milk and cookies was lovely and appreciated after the long drive. The location is ideal for exploring the area and is not far from the amenities. Hide

Cottage was basic but location was perfect being right in the centre of the village. Parking space was very useful, however I think you would struggle to fit two cars into the space and shouldnt be advertised as such.

The property is beautiful. Well equipped and comfortable. Beautiful l fresh white linen and towels.cushions for the outside sofa and chairs. Little extra touches made it home! Milk tea and coffee, soap, loo roll and dish washer tablets and washing tablets all provided. Just made things more welcoming annd were very much appreciated. Even a dog bedRead more in the lounge. If you have dogs the gate to the back of the property is very low and our pup hopped over no problem. (But at least it was into the yard and not out) we would Definitely rebook as the location was perfect for our needs. Hide

We liked the excellent shower, thick towels and comfortable bed, but the kitchen equipment was unsatisfactory. The cutlery was the thinnest I have ever seen and the only bowls were pasta sized, not cereal sized. There was no cafetiere, but a coffee machine with no instructions. The property was nicely decorated and there were two good sized televisRead moreions. The cottage is walking distance from several good places to eat and there are some nice independent shops in Braunton. Hide

Stepcott Cottage was even better than we expected. There was nothing we needed during our stay that was not provided and the quality of the furnishings and facilities were high. Lovely fresh linens and fluffy towels were provided. Gas central heating and a beautiful fire in the lounge were very welcome on wild November evenings! The cottage is veRead morery close to the town centre with pubs, restaurants and shops for provisions just a short walk away. It was our first trip away with our young labrador and it worked out really well, with rear access to the property via a utility room to clean her (and us) up after a hectic day at the breath-taking dog-friendly beaches nearby. We took a dog crate with us for her to sleep in but there was a small dog bed provided for a smaller, more sedate pooch! There is also a small grassy recreation area just at the end of the road. A really welcoming place to.stay. Hide
