Property code: OC-1CHFA

A characterful Grade-II listed cottage brimming with charm, situated in the idyllic rural village of Blythburgh on the Suffolk Heritage Coast. This inviting retreat is perfect for a friends’ get-together or family escape with a couple of furry tag-a-longs. Venture to the sprawling golden sands of Walberswick Beach (4 miles) for a wonderful ball-throwing backdrop, before delving into an al fresco summer spread on the enclosed patio.

This rustic property boasts a wonderfully traditional interior with large, exposed timber beams, stable doors, and bright rooms. Ease out of muddy boots and towel down soggy paws before bounding into the cosy lounge area. Sink onto the sofas amongst the scatter pillows and kick up weary feet on the ottoman or browse the Smart TV. Pad along the tiled flooring into the farmhouse kitchen and rustle up a delicious evening meal then treat Fido to a special holiday supper. Feast gathered around the sociable wooden dining table and raise a glass of fizz to your occasion. After dinner, steal a moment of peace in the airy study – the perfect space for letting the creative juices flow or delving into a novel with your faithful companion by your side. Ascend the staircase to rest up in your choice of three well-presented bedrooms each with striking beam work and calming soft fabrics. Curious canines can sniff out every nook and cranny of the enclosed garden while the humans recline with their morning coffee on the patio.

Blythburgh is ideally situated for adventuring along the glistening Suffolk coastline. Whether you are sampling craft beers at the dog-friendly waterfront inn on the Walberswick shoreline (3.5 miles), scoffing a bag of salty chips during a sunset stroll on Southwold Pier (5 miles), or bounding through the purple-topped heather at Dunwich Heath and Beach (6 miles) – there is plenty to keep your mischievous hound entertained.

A beautiful place to stay for a thoroughly relaxing holiday. Close to so many places to visit but equally you can stay put in the village with beautiful walks on your doorstep. The church is gorgeous too. The property has everything you need for a relaxing break. Some low doorways but that's to be expected in such an old property. A warm comfortable cottage in a great location with a secure garden for dogs. It also has a good utility/ boot room great for muddy boots and dogs. Is generally in need of some tlc and updating. Some niggles inside but no deal breakers. As others have mentioned an upto date folder with information about the property and appliances would be helpful.Read more We had a great holiday but its not for the very fussy Hide

Cottage in a great location, central to many great places and beautiful local walks. I would advise people who have difficulty with narrow/curved stairs to avoid this property. I have balance issues and struggled hugely with the stairs which have rope in place of a bannister.

A lovely house in need of a lot of updating. The garden is fully enclosed so is safe for dogs but again its in need of a lot of maintenance.. at the moment its rather dangerous with the unfinished decking area.A welcome pack would be helpful as there is no shop in the village and also an update of the house folder. The house is excellent as a centreRead more for exploring beaches, birdwatching and dog walking. Cottage is in a lovely location for beautiful walks with a pub within walking distance. Narrow stairs and low beams so if you need to consider this if booking.

We had a great holiday in this lovely cottage. We are a tall family and had to learn to duck the beams but it was well equipped, comfortable and ideally located for our needs to see the surrounding countryside and visit Southwold. Parking was easy. The downstairs toilet and the study off the main lounge were a welcome bonus

Excellent location and comfortable beds. Watch the low beams in two of the bedrooms. Kitchen well equipped and pleasant. We had problems with the key safe and couldn't find a welcome folder giving details of WiFi, heating and internet only TV.
