Holiday in true style at this luxury accommodation in the open countryside in Northumberland. It’s part of a small development located on the edge of Wandylaw Moor. With space for up to eight guests over four bedrooms, it’s ideal for a holiday with extended family or larger group of friends. You’ll have the fabulous Beadnell Bay 8 miles away, where your pet can sniff out the rock pools while you lay on the sand (please keep them on leads during bird breeding season). After busy days out in the fresh air, human and canines can head home together and fire up the wood burner for a cosy night in.

The inside of the accommodation is truly impressive, with high ceilings and wooden beams, plus large view-yielding windows at one end. Stone interior walls and a raw brick fireplace create that rustic look, with contemporary fittings providing the ultimate in comfort. The huge modern kitchen is well equipped with everything you need for meal prep and has a large island in the centre you can perch at with your morning cuppa. In the large enclosed garden, children and dogs can play together safely while the adults cook up a storm on the BBQ – saving a sausage or two for the pets, naturally! There’s ample space for al-fresco dining and a lawn for games.

There’s plenty of pet-pleasing terrain nearby, with trails through gorgeous countryside leading from your front door – no need for the car. You’ll also be 6 miles from the gorgeous Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty where you can admire dune-fringed beaches and rocky headlands along the picturesque coastal path.

Great location, views are superb. Cottage has good layout, space and everything you need. However decor is in need of attention and overall general cleaniness did not meet expectations.

Would recommend staying here, comfortable beds, rooms, well equipped kitchen, peaceful, well placed for sightseeing, me and my family love Northumberland and staying at The Barns was one step further to perfection.

We stayed in this fabulous house for my sisters birthday weekend. It is absolutely immaculate and has everything we needed . The location is beautiful with the most amazing views . The owner was really helpful with our inquires and quick to reply . Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning

The Barns is a stunning accommodation set in a beautiful, rural location with amazing views. Extremely well equipped with everything you need, a true home from home! The beds are clean and comfortable, the rooms are spacious with lovely decor and ambient lighting for cosy nights in. We stayed with elderly parents so the level flooring of this prRead moreoperty is ideal for those with walking difficulties. We visited Lindesfarne, Seahouses and Beadnell which are all a short drive away and enjoyed a lovely Sunday Lunch at the Craster Arms at Beadnell. Whilst we understand the vacation time at the property is 10am this is a little bit early for us having elderly and disabled parents with us however, this would not prevent us from staying at the property again. The Barns is in a fabulous location - you cant see the wind farm from the property. Handy for all of the beautiful coastal venues. Beautiful property. Very clean and very comfortable. Kitchen and lounge areas spacious. We took extra dishwasher tabs, washing up cloth, kitchen roll and clingfilm - all required. Lovely to have tea and coffee provided.Read more We really enjoyed our stay - great for all the family- including a four year old and a dog! Directions and entrance instructions were spot on. A top quality Cottage which offers a real wow factor. In addition, the location offers wonderful views towards Bamburgh Castle and the Farne Islands. A gem of a property.

Lovely cottage, it housed 7 adults and a baby very comfortably. Well positioned to visit the Northumberland coast, and conveniently placed not far from the A1 for good access. Quiet location with several walks from the door.

We loved this house! It was spacious and quiet, with a fabulous view over towards the sea. We were 3 generations or our family and it suited us all. It's so well placed for visiting places - the coast, Bambrugh, Lindisfarne, Alnwick, Cragside.... the list goes on.
