This was our first visit to the Gower Peninsular, and what a lovely place it is. Oxwich Bay has a car park at 6 per day, which is a bargain. It also has the cleanest public toilets you will find. When the tide is out the flat sand beach nearly 3 miles long wonderful for easy walking. It was a lovely cottage in a good position and a very dog-friRead moreendly beach, and I cannot recommend the food at the Bay Hotel enough. However, beware: There are no local supermarkets, so if you are self-catering, you will have to bring almost everything with you. Hide

One of the best places we have stayed in. Clean, bright, modern. Comfy sofas and beds. Just need to some oven gloves and pans suitable for an induction hob as not all worked on the hob.

Equipment - We were unable to make the hob work, despite reading the instruction manual, so I've had to mark this down. It would have been useful to have an oven glove and some instructions on bins and recycling as we weren't sure what to do with everything (e.g. no idea what to do with cardboard or cans so we just left them on top of recycling biRead moren stack) Cleanliness - a few places in the bathroom showing their age and starting to look stained (gaps in bathroom floor and shower screen) and some of soft furnishings showing signs of wear and tear, but generally good. Comfort and quality - generally good. Hide

I loved my stay at The Willows, it was cosy, comfortable, had a wonderful garden, front and back, was well presented, well equipped and in a perfect location for quick access to the beautiful beach and walks. A couple of small-ish things. I couldnt operate the hob when using more than one ring. I spoke about this at the time with Nicola who was vRead moreery helpful and gave me some tips to try but made no difference. I declined the offer of meeting your handyman as I so wanted to be out all day exploring. Also my dog was certain there were goodies under one of the twin beds. When I moved the bed, indeed there were - a large dental stick and some kibble and possibly more (according to her persistence!) as well as a lot of dust too. The door to that bedroom wouldnt stay shut, so I had to block her access with my case and bags! When checking we hadnt left anything anywhere, I noted that out of sight places could have been more thorough. This was a shame as the rest of the cottage was spotless. Please dont let those comments detract from all the positives. I hope they are constructive observations. It is a lovely cottage and I would happily stay there again. Hide

Beautiful property, amazing large garden and really close to the beach and coastal walks. Lovely seeing the birds including pheasant coming to eat the seed in the garden. Really quiet location, was perfect for our February stay with the dogs. Would be nice if there was a welcome folder providing info about using the property on arrival (as with mosRead moret holiday rentals) but unfortunately we couldn't find one. Hide
