While away days on the beach and evenings around the fire pit with your four-legged friend when you stay at this welcoming, three-bedroom maisonette in Swanage. Sleeping six guests, the charming retreat is set across the first and second floors of a handsome Victorian house in a superb location within the seaside town. It also comes with a courtyard where you and your contented canine can enjoy the sea air.

Climb the staircase that is to the side of the building and enter to find yourselves in an open-plan lounge/diner. Lay an open fire here during the winter months and relax with your happy hound in its cosy glow. Play games with the family, watch TV and open the doors on to the balcony during warmer weather. Prepare family meals in the kitchen and feed your hungry pup here too. Also at this level there’s a cloakroom and two twin bedrooms. A king-size bedroom with views out towards the sea, and the family bathroom are on the floor above. Dine out in the courtyard when the weather is fine and take your four-pawed friend out with you in the evening to bask beside the fire pit. Parking for this property is on the street, subject to availability.

Stroll just 200 metres over to the verdant downs to stretch canine legs with a good long walk. Pick up the scenic South West Coast Path here too and wander 0.5 miles up to Peveril Point to take in the magnificent seascapes. Amble 500 metres from the maisonette down to Monkey Beach, where pups can play off the lead at any time of year. For a much larger, dog-friendly beach, have a trip out to beautiful South Beach at Studland, 4 miles away, where four-legged sand and sea lovers are also very welcome.

Beautiful period property, located on a hilly street just a short walk from Swanage High Street and the seafront. The property is nicely decorated throughout and well equiped with lovely views to the front. Although we found the beds clean and comfortable and the kitchen and sanitaryware acceptably clean, other areas were just too dirty and dusty fRead moreor us to recommend this property to family and friends. Lovely maisonette in Swanage that was well suited to us. Location was very good - very short walk to the centre/beach front. The kitchen needed a bit more attention to cleaning - but nothing that couldnt be easily fixed! The linen and towels were all clean and mattresses very comfortable! Additional bonus of having two toilets. Well equipped Read morewith a smart TV, washing machine (with dryer included in machine) and drying racks for clothes. The place has a coffee machine as well as a kettle, so we were all happy in the morning. The double bedroom on the top floor has a sea view from the left side of the window, and you can also see the sea when stood on the balcony outside. There are quite a few steps to climb if your bedroom is on the top floor, but wasnt a problem for us. Parking is on-street parking so limited to if there is a space or not. We parked in a nearby car park and payed 50 to park there for the week (seemed easier to us than to hope for a space on the road each day). Overall, we had a great stay, and would definitely choose this accommodation if we came to Swanage again!! Hide

Very convenient location albeit partway up a steep hill. A characterful property with a nice welcome box of goodies. Outside space is very limited but that wasn't a problem as the Downs and the seafront are nearby.
