Wake up to the sound of waves rolling into shore in this luxurious holiday home on the Northumberland coast. Sleeping up to 12 guests and three canine chums, it’s the perfect base for family reunions and getaways with friends. The spacious property has a choice of social spaces and a fabulous seaside terrace for al fresco entertaining. You’ll have direct access to the paw-friendly beach and can enjoy day trips to Seahouses and Bamburgh (both within 5 miles).
The statement beachfront property is flooded with natural light and boasts spectacular sea views from many of its vast rooms. The decor is incredibly contemporary and chic, with little nods to the coastal location in the artwork and accessories. At the heart of the home is an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner where you can all hang out at the end of a busy day, cooking up a storm in the stylish kitchen, sharing delicious meals, watching films on the SkyTV, or simply admiring the gorgeous vista. There’s ample space here for the dog beds and the hard floors throughout make dealing with sandy pawprints a breeze. A super-king-size bedroom (which can be made up as a twin on request) with an en-suite bathroom, along with a handy utility room, complete the ground floor. Upstairs, discover a second lounge, again offering jaw-dropping ocean views. The three remaining bedrooms are also located on this floor, one of which has an en-suite bathroom, and there’s also a Jack and Jill-style shower room. The property boasts two enclosed, outdoor areas where you and the pups can soak up the sunshine. There’s a small balcony off the first-floor lounge, and an impressive terrace with outdoor furniture, a BBQ, hammock, games for the children, and direct access via steep steps to the paw-friendly beach.
The fishing village of Beadnell is full of charm, with cosy pubs and cute fishermen’s cottages. Enjoy gentle strolls with the pack around the pretty harbour, or perhaps take a countryside walk to the National Trust village of Low Newton-by-the-Sea (5 miles). The Northumberland Coast Path passes through the village, and you and the hounds can follow it to the popular coastal village of Seahouses (2 miles), where you’ll find a good range of eateries and shops, and you can also catch boat trips from the harbour.
