Property code: OC-15MILL

This beautifully presented coastal home with a large, enclosed lawn is set in the peaceful village of Wrentham and is a stone’s throw from the sprawling Suffolk coastline. The stylish abode is perfect for families or friends seeking an escape with their faithful companion. Sniff out the twisting trees and branches peppering the sandy shoreline of Covehithe Beach (1.5 miles), before settling in for a refreshing tipple perched at your very own garden bar.

This elegant brick property boasts a chic interior with earthy stone and charcoal tones, plush soft fabrics, and open-plan social spaces. Grab a fluffy towel to avoid any muddy pawprints then venture into the bright lounge. Tend to the wood burner with the help of your furry assistant, then sink onto the sofas with a well-earned afternoon tea. Keen readers can browse the bookshelf and settle on the armchair by the bay window. Get dinner simmering on the sleek stove in the shaker kitchen or mix some drinks bathed in the natural glow of the skylight above. Prop open the patio doors and enjoy the balmy summer breeze as you feast around the wooden dining table. As the night draws in, head upstairs to enjoy a restorative soak in the opulent roll-top tub. Rest up in your choice of an airy twin and a spacious king on the first floor, as well as a contemporary double on the second floor. Rustle up some drinks in the wood-panelled outdoor bar then settle on the veranda for a sundowner and throw a ball for your playful pup.

The Suffolk coast is sure to be hit with all the family, on two legs or four. Whether you are spotting wildlife and scampering through the lush woodland at Benacre Broad (2 miles), scoffing an ice cream and posing for a portrait in front of the colourful beach huts lining the Southwold promenade (5 miles), or catching a sunset from the Southwold Pier (5 miles) – there is plenty to keep tails wagging and noses twitching.

Mill Cove is in a great location very close to A12, well equipped, clean and comfortable. The garden was totally secure for our inquisitive Golden Retriever. A superb comfortable and tranquil home in a great location to explore the area. Dog friendly too which was a real bonus for us. As first time visitors here we really welcomed the opportunity of trips to Beccles and Southwold and started our days with a great breakfast at the friendly Castle Hill Cafe. Loved the ruggedness of the nearby beach at CoRead morevehithe though we had to drive there as it was just a bit too far to walk and found the history of the town and ruins of St Michaels church fascinating. We had a brilliant family (+ dog) stay at the property. The Welcome Pack, on arrival, was a welcome surprise and we quickly felt at home. The decor and furnishings provided both comfort and a real sense of place, with everything we needed. The back garden was beautiful and spacious (and very secure for our curious dog) and we spent a lot of time ouRead moret there. The property's great location enabled us to explore much in the local area during our week, including Southwold, Aldeburgh, Walberswick, Framlingham Castle and Oulton Broad, plus some local pubs/restaurants for great food & drink. Communication was good and we found our feet in both the property, and the area really quickly. Highly recommended. Hide
