The village of Mumbles, just over 300 metres from the house, is a lovely place to walk your pups and boasts a Victorian pier and a 12th-century castle.

On the ground floor is an open-plan living area with comfortable sofas, a huge bay window with bench seating and a wood burner to keep you warm on cooler nights - your hounds will no doubt love lying in front of it. Directly adjacent to the living area is a spacious kitchen, perfectly equipped to prepare delicious meals. A staircase leads to a lower ground floor with an additional lounge room. The children will love this den-like space and can kick back on the sofas and watch their favourite films on TV. From the ground floor, stairs lead up to the first floor and three bedrooms - two king-size and one double. A family bathroom is also located on this floor. A loft on the second floor is another great space for the kids. Patio doors from the kitchen lead out to a lovely terrace where you can sit back, enjoy the sea views and dine alfresco.
From Mumbles, walkers can take the Wales Coast Path for a scenic 12.5-mile walk along cliffs and beaches to Three Cliffs Bay. Another great all-round beach is Oxwich Bay (9.5 miles), where you can build sandcastles, picnic, enjoy water sports and, for sea dogs, take a boat trip to watch for dolphins. If your pups crave sticks, set tails wagging with a run through the woods at Nicholaston Wood (2 miles).
