Just a quarter of a mile from a charming pet-friendly sand and shingle beach, this spacious getaway retains plenty of original features including whitewashed brickwork, red-tiled flooring, a welcoming wood burner in an exposed stone surround, wooden floorboards and sash-cord bay windows.

Entering this inviting property, the cosy and cheerful open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner has dual-aspect windows and a welcoming atmosphere for you and your pet to unwind in. The lounge offers a Smart TV and a roaring wood burner, with a small step leading up to the farmhouse-style dining area and a fully equipped kitchen, providing a lovely space to gather and share a family feast. An open-tread staircase leads from the lounge to the first floor which features a charming family bathroom and two comfortable bedrooms: a cheery king-size room with a big bay window to the front, and a sweet double room to the back overlooking the garden and featuring skylights in the high ceiling. Stepping outside, the pretty garden has an abundance of plants and flowers, with outdoor furniture so you can dine alfresco on a sunny day. The garden is fully enclosed so pets can sniff about in peace too.

There are plenty of pet-friendly beaches nearby including those at Dunwich, Southwold and Thorpeness, all within 14 miles. Dogs are welcome at local attractions including the ruins of Leiston Abbey, the popular Camel Park Oasis, Parham Airfield Museum and the historic Framlingham Castle, all within 20 miles.

Lovely location in the heart of the village, a few minutes walk from pubs, beach and harbour. Secluded garden, private parking. Attractive fittings etc, but scant comfy living room or bed room furniture if you were a party of 4.

Rose Cottage was everything we needed for our short stay in Walberwick. It was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. We are a family of 3 and come to Walberswick every year to visit family, we will definitely stay here again.

This cottage is in a great location and has plenty of potential but it's let down by old and tired furniture in the living room and bedrooms. The living room space isn't currently set up for two couples to be able to relax in as there's just one smallish sofa which is unfortunately heavily stained. Please be aware that the photos are misleading - 'Rose Cottage' is the property on the left and does not include the front door and the right hand side of the original building. We shared the cottage with two other members of the family but I feel that it would be rather too cosy for two couples as suggested in the description.
