Escape with your other half and four-legged friend to this small but perfectly formed property with a healthy dash of quirky on the side. In a brilliant location, just set back from the river on the West Looe side, you’ll have a ball exploring both East and West Looe with a plethora of quaint shops, cafes, eateries and bustling harbour. This bright and airy property is perfectly suited to one couple and their loyal canine chum who want to chill or use it as a base for exploring a wider area of Cornwall.
This three-storey house offers a really comfortable retreat for two. The ground-floor has useful space for outdoor and beach gear; by opening the garage door here this area also becomes an unusual indoor-outdoor terrace kitted out with camping furniture and nautical features. The first-floor lounge/kitchen/diner is dual aspect, flooding the attractive open-plan room with light and affording wonderful views of the hilly town. It’s tastefully decorated with attractive furnishings and fittings managing to be both cosy and stylish. Up the stairs from the lounge, you’ll reach the lovely double-aspect bedroom with harbour and quayside views, plus a modern shower room. A perfect holiday home from home…
You could easily spend your break just exploring East and West Looe, stopping off for refreshments and watching the world go by. There’s no shortage of eating options if you fancy days off self-catering. Or use it as a base for blustery walks along the South West Coast Path – dogs will love it but it might be an idea to keep them on a lead as some of the terrain is rough with steep drops. It’s worth noting that East Looe Beach (0.5 miles) is closed to dogs all year but they can go mutts on the so-called Second Beach just slightly further east.
