This gorgeous two-storey property is perfect for couples, families, friends, and one beloved pup looking for a peaceful holiday on the Norfolk coast. Sitting in the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Thornham is a picturesque village popular with walkers, photographers, artists, and cyclists. Birdwatchers will find RSPB Titchwell just 2 miles from the village, where your pup will lead the way through seven miles of Nature Reserve.
You’ll find all the comforts of home in this characterful open-plan cottage. Step inside and you’ll discover a stylish Shaker-style kitchen with granite worksurfaces, exposed beams and traditional Norfolk pamment flooring, as well as a lovely living/dining area where you and your hound can enjoy dinner, chill out in front of the TV, or relax in front of the wood burning stove. Upstairs, via the cottage-style stairs, you’ll find a family bathroom and two bedrooms – a double and a twin. Dine al fresco in the delightful south-facing courtyard to the rear of the cottage – it’s a real suntrap during the summer months. To the front of the house is a long lawned garden stretching down to the road.
For a peaceful day at the beach, head to Heacham (8 miles) which is perfect for walking, relaxing, sandcastles and for your pup to go mutts along the miles of sandy beach and splash in the shallow sea. Close by is Norfolk Lavender which provides your hound with plenty of scents to enjoy as you walk around and take in the beautiful colours. Alternatively, make your way to Morston Quay (19 miles) to take your sea dog on a boat trip to see the seals at Blakeley Point. If you’re lucky enough to be there between June and August, there’s a good chance you’ll see Common Seal pups. If you’re there between October and December, the Grey Seal pups are arriving.
