This gorgeous two-storey property is perfect for couples, families, friends, and one beloved pup looking for a peaceful holiday on the Norfolk coast. Sitting in the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Thornham is a picturesque village popular with walkers, photographers, artists, and cyclists. Birdwatchers will find RSPB Titchwell just 2 miles from the village, where your pup will lead the way through seven miles of Nature Reserve.

You’ll find all the comforts of home in this characterful open-plan cottage. Step inside and you’ll discover a stylish Shaker-style kitchen with granite worksurfaces, exposed beams and traditional Norfolk pamment flooring, as well as a lovely living/dining area where you and your hound can enjoy dinner, chill out in front of the TV, or relax in front of the wood burning stove. Upstairs, via the cottage-style stairs, you’ll find a family bathroom and two bedrooms – a double and a twin. Dine al fresco in the delightful south-facing courtyard to the rear of the cottage – it’s a real suntrap during the summer months. To the front of the house is a long lawned garden stretching down to the road.

For a peaceful day at the beach, head to Heacham (8 miles) which is perfect for walking, relaxing, sandcastles and for your pup to go mutts along the miles of sandy beach and splash in the shallow sea. Close by is Norfolk Lavender which provides your hound with plenty of scents to enjoy as you walk around and take in the beautiful colours. Alternatively, make your way to Morston Quay (19 miles) to take your sea dog on a boat trip to see the seals at Blakeley Point. If you’re lucky enough to be there between June and August, there’s a good chance you’ll see Common Seal pups. If you’re there between October and December, the Grey Seal pups are arriving.

Excellent cottage which we have booked before and will probably do so again. The stairs could be a problem if our mobility worsens with advancing years

Clock cottage was a very well appointed and supremely comfortable cottage in a really fab location. Its tastefully decorated with a lovely bathroom. The stairs are steep so really not for very little ones but we managed them fine. And the pubs, which all serve good food, are all less than a 10 minute walk. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend this cottage whole heartily Hide

Lovely relaxed stay in a beautiful location. Welcome pack was a really nice surprise as was the cleanliness of the cottage throughout. Everything you could need from a relaxing cottage stay. Beautiful little cottage which is very clean and furnished so tastefully. The lovely courtyard off the kitchen is a great sun trap during the day. The only setback is the staircase which is totally unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues.

Very clean cottage. Positioned well to explore the north norfolk coast. Good range of places to eat in the village if you don't fancy cooking. Stairs are steep so not suitable for someone who has difficulties with stairs
