With its glorious homely decor and excellent location within the idyllic South Devon countryside, this charming cottage is a true paradise for nature lovers of both the human and canine variety. It boasts fantastic views over the Tamar Estuary and a wonderful outdoor space for pets to frolic while humans lap up the natural setting. Its two bedrooms accommodate up to four guests, making it perfect for a romantic trip with your partner, a family holiday or a getaway among close friends. The semi-detached cottage is a true home away from home, with quality furniture, wood panelling and elegant rustic decor throughout. In the cosy, beautifully decorated lounge, sink into the inviting sofas and enjoy some quiet time with a book or the TV while the pets get some shut-eye on the rug. From here, pretty French doors flanked by elegant white curtains lead to the garden. The cottage-style kitchen has an original painted stone wall, and is ideal for cooking. Meals can be enjoyed in the impressive half-conservatory dining room, where the views over the surrounding area are spectacular. In the large garden, the lawns, flower beds and decked furnished section make this a wonderful spot for relaxing with your loved ones and pets.

A beautiful, thoughtfully put together cottage with breathtaking views over the Tamar estuary: we had a very relaxing short late spring break. Everything was lovely, from the spectacular view, to the beautiful garden and large lawn for the kids to run on, to all the home comforts in the cottage. Excellent place for a holiday. Will definitely return!

A very nice comfortable cottage but beware. The local lanes suffer from Devonitis. If you have a very large car or you cant reverse, this is not for you.

This is a bit of a "curate's egg" - good in parts. The cottage itself is comfortable and the views very good. The owners' cleaner does an exceptional job on cleaning the place in readiness for visitors. The downsides are niggling, but amount to an annoyance. Upon arrival, one is greeted with an instruction not to park outside the cottage, ratherRead more to use a car park further down the hill - not so good when pouring with rain, and annoying to find that the easiest parking spot is taken up by a poorly parked van (which never moved). On entry to the cottage - on a cold and wet day - we found the heating turned right down. Further instructions awaited, not to allow dogs upstairs, with a toddler gate in place to enforce this. The "welcome pack" consisted of a jug of milk - not even a bottle - and a pack of biscuits. Some welcome. Tea and coffee were provided, but not enough to last the week. Without wishing to moan, the cottage was "fully priced", particularly when an extra charge would be imposed if one dareed to use the second bed. For this price I would expect less instructions and more of a welcome. We will not be returning. Hide

Tanglewood Cottage is beautifully and tastefully decorated. The views of the Tamar Estuary are stunning, especially from the conservatory with a cup of coffee early in the morning. Such a peaceful place. Chris, the housekeeper is brilliant! We're going back next year.

It was warm, cosy, comfortable, and had the most amazing views. Christina explained everything we needed to know, and there were biscuits, milk, coffee, tea and sugar there on arrival. We would certainly book again if we wanted to visit that area another time.
