Head to this cottage for an effortless holiday in the beautiful Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You’ll be at the edge of Seahouses, a charming seaside town with plenty to offer for a small family and their beloved salty sea dog. The cottage and its location offer opportunities to make new friends and socialise with the locals or spend some quality bonding time with the people (and dog) you love best.

The exterior of this property matches the surrounding area with traditional stone walls and lots of sunny spots. Out the back, Fido will sniff out the garden, enclosed with matching stone walls and complete with patio furniture and a BBQ for long summer nights. Inside, the cottage is homely with colourful decor in a gorgeous living area, warmed by a wood burner. This is separate from the neat and well-equipped kitchen and petite dining area, which is perfect for a small group. When the day is done, retire to the two bedrooms: one single room and one king-size room.

This property is on the edge of Seahouses, so head into town along the main street for dog-friendly eateries, local boutiques and the dog-friendly Seahouses Beach, less than 1 mile away. Here, you’ll be able to take a boat to see seals, depending on the weather and the time of year. If you’d like to learn more about the history of the area, everyone will love Bamburgh Castle with its dog-friendly grounds, 3 miles away. While heading north, check out Holy Island. It’s a little further afield (17 miles) but it’s an incredible place with the sort of walk to set tails wagging.

A very comfortable, clean and well equipped cottage to explore the Northumbrian coast. We discovered the footpath from North Lane to the sea by accident and it would be great if there was a book in the cottage, where one could leave hints like this for future guests.

Lovely cottage but very low ceilings in bedrooms in which heads were regularly bumped, and bathroom is downstairs.

Lovely comfortable cottage located just an 8 min walk outside the main centre of Seahouses. Well equipped kitchen, very comfortable large bed. I would definitely recommend the cottage.

Very comfortable, clean, well equipped cottage in a quiet location perfectly situated for enjoying the local coastal area. Milk, cookies & drinks provided were much appreciated. Enjoyed sitting in the propertys garden just up the lane for a cuppa and relaxing in the cosy lounge after the days exploring. The description does state that both bedroomsRead more are in the eaves and so if tall like me care needs to be taken accessing the beds and chests of drawers. Hide

We had a wonderful time staying here. It was the perfect size for our little family and we found it to be relaxing and peaceful. Its a great location - just 10 minutes to walk into Seahouses and to see the sea. Its also perfect for exploring this section of the Northumberland coast. We were grateful for the provisions for our little one (travel cotRead more + a range of high chairs). I cannot say enough good things about the stay - cosy, restful, perfect. We would stay again. Really enjoyed our stay here. The cottage was excellent and just what we were after. We hadn't been to this area before and loved the fantastic beaches as did Rosie our cockapoo. We were very impressed with the whole area and will look to return with all the family in the future.
