Head to this cottage for an effortless holiday in the beautiful Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You’ll be at the edge of Seahouses, a charming seaside town with plenty to offer for a small family and their beloved salty sea dog. The cottage and its location offer opportunities to make new friends and socialise with the locals or spend some quality bonding time with the people (and dog) you love best.
The exterior of this property matches the surrounding area with traditional stone walls and lots of sunny spots. Out the back, Fido will sniff out the garden, enclosed with matching stone walls and complete with patio furniture and a BBQ for long summer nights. Inside, the cottage is homely with colourful decor in a gorgeous living area, warmed by a wood burner. This is separate from the neat and well-equipped kitchen and petite dining area, which is perfect for a small group. When the day is done, retire to the two bedrooms: one single room and one king-size room.
This property is on the edge of Seahouses, so head into town along the main street for dog-friendly eateries, local boutiques and the dog-friendly Seahouses Beach, less than 1 mile away. Here, you’ll be able to take a boat to see seals, depending on the weather and the time of year. If you’d like to learn more about the history of the area, everyone will love Bamburgh Castle with its dog-friendly grounds, 3 miles away. While heading north, check out Holy Island. It’s a little further afield (17 miles) but it’s an incredible place with the sort of walk to set tails wagging.
