Occupying a central spot in the tranquil fishing port of Porthleven, this stunning residence provides elegant accommodation for larger families and groups of friends celebrating a special occasion in a beautiful part of South Cornwall. With ample space for up to ten human and two canine guests, the manor house dates back to the Victorian era and has been sumptuously updated while retaining plenty of original features including an eye-catching turret, stained glass windows, exposed stonework and traditional timber beams.

Entering via the Victorian front door, the slate-tiled hallway leads to a spacious study with a granite chimney breast and a handy desk. Further on, there’s a pretty lounge with a big bay window, plenty of seating and a classic chess set. At the heart of the house is the grand open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner; the lounge is ideal for enjoying a movie on the Smart TV, and the fantastic dining area is perfect for enjoying celebratory meals together. Two steps lead down into a beautifully equipped kitchen. Upstairs, a mid-level landing leads up into the turret which has been transformed into a stunning reading nook with impressive stonework and stained glass arched windows. The property offers five elegant en-suite bedrooms: a charming twin, three beautiful king-size rooms (one with a spiral staircase leading up into a delightful snug with enchanting coastal views), and a stunning super-king-size room with timber beams, stone walls and an in-room freestanding roll-top clawfoot bath. Outside, the paved terrace has plenty of outdoor furniture and a BBQ and leads onto a vast lawn where your four-pawed companions can run and play.

Porthleven makes a fantastic base for dogs and their owners exploring a stunning part of the Cornish coastline. Dogs are welcome at attractions including Trengwainton Garden, Rinsey Head, Flambards and the Penrose Estate, all within 15 miles. The town itself has shops and galleries to peruse and there is a small sandy beach just beyond the harbour that you can take a stroll along. Torre Vean Manor is a lovely house to spend family time together. Tastefully decorated and probably the best equipped kitchen. However, the heating was completely erratic and couldn't be sorted by the (helpful) agent, or electrician. We were there to celebrate New Year, and the issue with the heating spoilt our stay. I had to keep my dog on a leadRead more when outside the property as one of the walls is very low. I would not recommend this property in winter, or to a dog owner. Hide

Lovely spacious house in a great location. Good sized garden and plenty of parking. Great for multi generational families as there was a quiet sitting room away from the main seating area. Liked the easy flow from kitchen to dining and seating areas. Great house.

Quite simply the best house in the best location. It may seem central but it was private, quiet and perfectly equipped. The place was spotless, the decor lovely, difficult to fault and hard to leave. We hope to be back. All in all, excellent.
