Sniff out adventure and good times at this beautiful flat in the gorgeous coastal village of Seahouses. It’s perfect for a couples’ getaway or a small family group with two dogs in tow. You’ll be situated close to the sea for walks and paddling, and not too far from the Northumberland National Park for plenty of other activities. So, grab a few special people and your two top dogs and head out.
This property is a flat situated on top of a smokehouse, one of the many lovely references to the area’s history and culture. The flat has a double bedroom and a single bedroom, so it can sleep a maximum of three people as well as the two pups. The lounge/dining room has two large sofas for you to stretch out on after a long day, and the whole property is full of wooden furniture and nautical touches across the bedrooms, bathroom and lounge/dining room. To start the days off right, cook up a storm in the modern kitchen and, when you return from adventures, you can rinse off the sand in the bathroom. While there isn’t a garden or outdoor space, you’ll get lots of natural light and views of the sea, with the beach a stone’s throw away for sandy walkies.
The village of Seahouses is, as the name would suggest, perfect for salty sea dogs. You’ll find dog-friendly eateries all around, plenty of dog-friendly beaches and even dog-friendly boat trips to see seal pups, depending on the time of year. History buffs will be delighted with the area’s old buildings and forts, and we highly recommend a trip to Bamburgh (3.5 miles away) for a sniff around Bamburgh Castle. Dogs aren’t allowed inside, but they can explore the grounds and nearby beach.
