This charming cottage, situated in the peaceful village of Wenhaston, is the perfect bolthole for couples or small families and their beloved pup. Sleeping four across two peaceful bedrooms with the opportunity for an extra two guests on a sofa bed, this property dates back to the 1880s and has a fantastic summer house in the garden, offering al fresco dining whatever the weather. Spend the day on Walberswick Beach (8 miles) and visit the dog-friendly pub before heading back to the cottage for a delicious meal cooked up in the farmhouse-style kitchen.

The holiday home, which has a beautiful enclosed garden with lots of mature trees and plants to enjoy, has a cosy and welcoming atmosphere. Snuggle up on the sofa in the warm, cosy living space while the pup snoozes by your feet, or hide away in the snug with a good book for some peace and quiet. After a good night’s sleep, head to the summer house with your morning coffee and watch the morning unfold. There’s even a desk in here if you need to catch up on a bit of work before you head out for the day.

Let your faithful friend unleash it all on Dunwich Beach (5 miles), or see the three types of heather up on the heath. Dogs are also welcome to join you around the visitor centre, cafe and public rights of way at RSPB Minsmere (8 miles), where you may spot rare species such as the black-browed albatross. And while you’re on the beautiful Suffolk coast, you can’t miss a visit to wonderful Southwold (7 miles) - take a walk along the pier and experience the eccentric Under the Pier Show before heading to Denes Beach where your pup is welcome all year.

The property was very good, but I would not book a last minute break with holiday cottages again, based on how I was dealt with. I was palmed off by their customer service initially and if I had not pursued, the holiday would have fell through.

Cottage very tired. Kitchen needs an update with modern equipment ie a microwave . Design and layout of the cottage needs a rethink as not suitable for younger children or older people as it is at present. lovely garden, the hut would be lovely in the sunshine. Not a 4* in its present condition. At the front of cottage, parking could be an issuRead moree with bigger cars and there are quite steep steps up to the front door. Wenhaston and local area lovely Hide

The cottage is in a pretty village not far from Southwold. It is beautifully equipped with everything you could possibly need. The summerhouse in the garden is an extra bonus for sitting out and dining in the long hot summers. I thoroughly recommend this lovely cottage.

An interesting cottage, beautifully converted and furnished. A lovely location for walkers and birdwatchers. The cottage is well-equipped with the exception of a teapot and a bottle-opener which would have been appreciated!

Lovely, well equipped cottage in a beautiful peaceful village. The outside garden room was a real bonus. There were a lot of steps in the house as it had a quirky design and the step from the bedroom to the bathroom was quite steep. We really enjoyed our stay.
