This charming cottage, situated in the peaceful village of Wenhaston, is the perfect bolthole for couples or small families and their beloved pup. Sleeping four across two peaceful bedrooms with the opportunity for an extra two guests on a sofa bed, this property dates back to the 1880s and has a fantastic summer house in the garden, offering al fresco dining whatever the weather. Spend the day on Walberswick Beach (8 miles) and visit the dog-friendly pub before heading back to the cottage for a delicious meal cooked up in the farmhouse-style kitchen.
The holiday home, which has a beautiful enclosed garden with lots of mature trees and plants to enjoy, has a cosy and welcoming atmosphere. Snuggle up on the sofa in the warm, cosy living space while the pup snoozes by your feet, or hide away in the snug with a good book for some peace and quiet. After a good night’s sleep, head to the summer house with your morning coffee and watch the morning unfold. There’s even a desk in here if you need to catch up on a bit of work before you head out for the day.
Let your faithful friend unleash it all on Dunwich Beach (5 miles), or see the three types of heather up on the heath. Dogs are also welcome to join you around the visitor centre, cafe and public rights of way at RSPB Minsmere (8 miles), where you may spot rare species such as the black-browed albatross. And while you’re on the beautiful Suffolk coast, you can’t miss a visit to wonderful Southwold (7 miles) - take a walk along the pier and experience the eccentric Under the Pier Show before heading to Denes Beach where your pup is welcome all year.
