In the heart of one of the most picturesque villages on the Gower, this charming holiday cottage is perfect for families, friends, and two four-legged pals looking for a peaceful holiday close to beautiful beaches. Port Eynon Beach is a wonderful stretch of golden sand backed by dunes (restrictions on your pup from 1 May to 30 September). The adjoining beach at Horton, from the lifeguard station east towards Oxwich, welcomes paw prints all year round and offers the start of a scenic cliff-top walk along the coastal path over to Oxwich Bay.
A beautiful two-storey property filled with thoughtful touches, including prints and plants, that creates a homely feel. Enter the hallway and head to the lounge/dining area, which has a farmhouse style. Your pups will love to snooze on the cosy sofas or the rug on the floor in front of a lit wood burner on the chillier evenings. This is a lovely space to gather and chat or watch TV. There is a second sitting room with additional sofas and a TV. The contemporary kitchen is fully equipped to rustle up some favourite home-cooked meals. The first floor has a bathroom and three bedrooms - two king-size (one with en-suite) and a double. Step outside, and you will find a beautiful garden with a shaded patio for dining alfresco, a wooden pergoda, and a six-person hot tub (an additional £150 per stay).
A trip to the Atlantic coastline is a must, as the beaches at Rhossili (5 miles) and Whiteford Sands (7.5 miles) are stunningly beautiful and perfect for water sports. If your hounds want to run in the woods, head to Nicholaston Woods (6 miles) and leave no stick unfetched. Mumbles (15 miles) is a popular seaside destination where you can sample delicious seafood and ice cream, walk on the sandy beach, or explore historic Oystermouth Castle.
