Leave no stick unfetched at this fun and cosy getaway. Prepare for a week away with the family and a dog at this property close to the beach in Seahouses and near the stunning Northumberland countryside. Fido will sniff out adventures and the children can learn about local history and native wildlife before returning to a bright and comfortable flat for an evening of games and bonding.

Wake up in a bright and refreshing bedroom (one king-size for the grown-ups; one twin for the kids) and listen to the delightful tapping of Fido’s paws on the hardwood floor. There’s plenty of space in the living area for cooking, eating and reading on the sofas. Head out for a hard day’s adventuring and exploring, before returning to soak in the P-shaped bath. The whole flat is decorated in light, natural colours with loving, nautical touches. While there isn’t a garden or outdoor space, you can enjoy long walkies along the beach nearby.

There are plenty of local attractions for active minds and tireless bodies. Why not check out Holy Island, 17 miles away, or head to Northumberland National Park (21.5 miles) to soak up some spectacular scenery? If you’d like to stay a little closer to your new home, try Bamburgh Castle (3.5 miles) or get fish and chips to take to Seahouses Beach. It’s dog-friendly all year, so Fido can splash in the sea while you munch and take in the incredible wildlife and natural beauty.

The flat was very good and in a central location for services and all Northumberland had to offer. The parking permit was very welcome, as we met a couple who were staying at the Ship Inn who had to source there own overnight parking. This did not go down well with them.

Not the cleanest property Ive ever stayed in, particularly bathroom. Heating didnt work, including towel rail so nowhere to dry towels at all. Very little equipment in kitchen, no dishwasher salt, no cleaning products to wipe down hob, countertops etc. Bath plug mechanism broken, had to lever plug out with a teaspoon every time, bath and shower oldRead more and dated and in poor condition. Whole apartment in need of a hood clean and a freshen up, new paintwork etc obviously not been updated for some years. Good location though Hide

A clean comfortable apartment, although in the centre of Seahouses it was quiet. It is perfectly situated for local ships, pubs and restaurants.

We had a wonderful week here with our 2 young children and our dog. The location is brilliant, handy to have cafes, pubs and the co-op within a minutes walk. Apartment was clean with all the basics. The only thing we missed was a washing machine but we used a local laundy service during our stay which was a 5 minute drive away. The car park iRead mores very close by and it was handy to have the parking permit as we could use it in other carparks in Northumberland too. There were a few bits and bobs around the apartment that require fixing (broken headboard on one of the beds, loose skirting board trim) but I have detailed these seperately and we reported it to the office downstairs. Overall a good apartment. I would stay again. Hide
