  • A bright and airy home with footpaths from the doorstep
  • Private garden with picnic table and BBQ for al fresco dining

Property code: OC-CT041

A stylish and inviting country chalet with a lush private garden, this romantic bolthole is the perfect escape for an outdoorsy couple and their furry-pawed third wheel. Step out and enjoy a serene morning walk along the woodland trails winding from Rhodes Minnis with your curious pup pottering by your heels, then dive into an al fresco breakfast in your private garden while Fido sniffs and explores.

This crisp and contemporary property boasts a sleek interior with clean lines, sloped ceilings, and earthy wooden textures throughout. Kick off muddy shoes in the hallway and ascend the staircase to the first floor to discover the open-plan living room/diner. Crack open a bottle of wine after a day of adventuring and snuggle up on the plush sofa with a movie on the Smart TV and a snoozy dog curled by your feet. Feed your puppy-eyed hound in the airy handless kitchen then whip a meal with some fresh, locally sourced farm produce and enjoy a cosy meal for two (or three) around the oak table. Pad back downstairs to rest up in the relaxing king-size bedroom and indulge in a lazy breakfast in bed before Fido hounds you out for a morning stroll. Make the most of the balmy Kent climate and fire up the BBQ in the enclosed lawn and patio area.

For a memorable day out, hop aboard the Romney Hythe & Dymchurch Railway, 9 miles, where intrepid pups can ride for free and are provided with fresh bowls of water on board. Beach-loving hounds can feel the wind in their fur as they bound along the pebbly shores of Sandgate Beach, 8 miles, or head North and sniff out the best fresh seafood takeaway and dog-friendly eateries in Whitstable, 18 miles.

Can't recommend this property enough. The owners are very friendly and gave us a warm welcome. The welcome basket was really good and included some of the honey they make on site. Made for a delicious breakfast! The cottage is cosy and very well kept. All the furniture and fittings were excellent and it had modern TVs with all the streaming serviceRead mores. Great set up for having a dog with you. Really enjoyed our long weekend! Hide

Lovely, well equipped and spotlessly clean cottage in a rural setting. We particularly liked the private garden to relax in.
