An elegantly finished cottage brimming with rustic charm and nestled in the trendy and picturesque village of Ticehurst, this hideaway is the perfect relaxing bolthole for a couples retreat with a furry-pawed duo in tow. Soak in the serene glistening reservoir at Bewl Water as you bound along the leafy woodland circular route, then tuck into a hearty cooked breakfast in the beautiful farmhouse kitchen and sneak some sausages to your hungry hounds.

This cosy property boasts a stylish country home interior with exposed wooden beams, a feature stone fireplace, and warm earthy tones throughout. Towel down your soggy pups then step into the inviting lounge and flop down by the crackling wood burner with a well-earned brew. Thank you for the yummy breakfast items. We loved staying here. The bed was so comfortable! We loved putting the bird seed out and watching the birds from the back door. The cottage is in a great place for visiting places and we spent all week pootling around. Would absolutely recommend afternoon tea on the Bluebell Railway (approx. 45mins awaRead morey) and a walk (however long or short) around Bewl Water especially if its a sunny day! This is a lovely cottage and well situated too. We can recommend the optician in Wadhurst who mended my husbands glasses and also the Piccolo Caf and Barnetts Books there. We visited several NT properties Scotney Castle, Lamb House Rye, Batemans & Knole all very interesting and enjoyable. We also had a day in London and the train service fromRead more Wadhurst worked well for us. We found that this property had everything you could possibly need for a self=catering holiday, including cake baking equipment! It was clean and there were plenty of towels, bed linen was provided and tea towels. Some 'welcome' food had been provided by the owner, which my husband actually cooked and enjoyed. Had a wonderful time at the cottage. Lots of great walks nearby starting from the doorstep. The Bell and The Bull are two excellent old inns that you'll love, mind your head in the Bull if you are tall, it was made in the 14th century when people were shorter. The cottage was perfect and very cosy. The property was very clean and comfortable and ideal for us as it was right in the village and close to family. There was no parking on site but that was quite manageable. Nice little cottage. Locally we enjoyed Bedgebury Pinetum (scenic walk with trees on tarmacked paths), Merriments, Pashley Manor & King John's Lodge Garden. Slightly further afield Leonardslee is spectacular in Rhododendron season. Nice pizzas at The Bistro, Etchingham Station. Very handy for going down to the coast.
