Property code: OC-BOW279

A cosy setting for a family holiday, this former pottery has plenty of space and some charming character features. Located in the beautiful town of New Quay, Wales, there’s plenty for everyone to do nearby, including days at the beach with your four-legged best friend in tow.

When you arrive at this cottage, you’ll notice clues to its former life, including some old-fashioned brick walls and a vintage, rustic inside with wooden floors and furniture. There are three chic and effortless bedrooms, perfect for enjoying restful nights before busy days of adventures. Downstairs is a spacious kitchen and living area for everyone to read or play games as they choose, and you can take meals outside on the patio furniture if the sun shines, as Fido sniffs the fresh air.

There are lots of activities nearby – a day trip to Aberystwyth is fun, and it’s only 15 miles away. Closer to the cottage is the Woodlands Park Resort (2.5 miles away), which is a beautifully managed woodland that dogs will love. For quick trips, try the dog-friendly New Quay beach, half a mile from your cottage, with lots of rock pools and sand for sandcastles. This is also where the dolphin-spotting boats leave, and that’s something everyone will enjoy – you can even bring dogs on leads! Finally, if you don’t want to cook, try the New Quay restaurants with delicious food for the family and room under the table for the dog.

Nice property with good parking for the area and well positioned to explore Newquay and surrounding area. Third bedroom is barely a bedroom and furniture and fittings could do with updating. The club opposite is open and blasting music until 2am on a Saturday night so not great for families.

Love it location, easy to walk to the main centre as the amazing beach via a woodland walk. House is spacious and very comfortable. Would say it is opposite a Sports bar which can get noisy till late...a few of our party found it hard to get to sleep on some nights.

Lovely roomy property in good location. Handy for shops bars and beach / harbour. Not recommended for people with mobility issues due to steep steps at rear to access. Dangerous steps from front lobby to living area with no stairgate & slippy wooden steps. Furniture needs updating/ replacement as sofas too low on floor for people with mobility issuRead morees / elderly to use comfortably / safely. Rear bedroom bed uncomfortable and needs replacing. Nowhere in the rooms to use as dressing table etc. Shower cubicle needs a door rather than curtain as water runs everywhere making floor slippy & dangerous Hide

Many lightbulbs didn't work including a floor lamp which property desperately needs for adequate light, no "welcome folder" with info about the property with usual info one would expect, no reply from owner when messaged them about these things, no info on rubbish or recycling, no instructions for cooker or extractor, noise from local pubs at weekeRead morend made hearing TV difficult (not owner's fault, but the reason why a point deducted on location question). Dishwasher didn't clean properly. Hide

No instruction booklet on anything , Oven not working, shower needs sorting as water runs onto floor and will lead to further problems. Dustbin outside being used by other properties and was full to brim.

There were 2 very noisy pubs opposite the cottage that impacted our childrens sleep, and the courtyard garden had next doors flats windows next to it.
