The traditional cottage is right in the heart of Seaton, just 200 metres from its woof-welcoming beach. The newly decorated property sleeps five guests and two hairy sidekicks and is ideal for families and groups of friends. There are some stunning walks branching away from the town, including to the picturesque village of Beer (2 miles) and the idyllic Axe Harbour (0.5 miles). In the evenings, sip a sundowner in the beautiful cottage garden.

The cosy cottage is decorated and furnished in a traditional style. The cute lounge has comfortable seating arranged around a Smart TV and a flame-effect electric fire to warm your toes and paws after a long dog walk. The sweet kitchen/diner is equipped with everything you need to cater for the group and has a dining table for enjoying mealtimes together. A family bathroom completes this floor. The three bedrooms – a double, twin, and single - are upstairs (please note, access to the single bedroom is via the double). Outside, the pretty cottage garden is a real haven, bursting with colourful flowers and mature shrubs.

Seaton has a large, pebble beach that has paw-friendly sections at either end all year. The beach is particularly popular with water sports enthusiasts, and you can hire kayaks and paddleboards nearby. The beach is backed by a long esplanade, which makes a lovely spot for a morning dog walk. Alternatively, get the heart pumping and ears flapping on a hike along the South West Coast Path. The exhilarating stretch towards Lyme Regis takes you through the Undercliffs National Nature Reserve and is a fantastic area for wildlife watching.

Overall we had a great stay over Christmas 2025. The cottage met our expectations and offers a central base to explore the Jurassic Coast from.

We had a great time at 1 Mulberry Cottages. Its tucked away in a quiet spot but right in the town. Really close to the beach, a 3 minute walk, you can see the sea from the gate. The kitchen is well equipped but we put a lot of stuff through the dishwasher. It has a cosy living room (though the sofa is a bit hard.) the TV works fine. The bathroom isRead more downstairs with an overbath shower which is ok. Bring toilet roll as none provided! The bedrooms are light and spacious, they look down onto the garden. The garden is a bit wild but it suits the cottage. Some areas could do with a tidy up but it has a nice patio and a sitting area which catches the afternoon sun. Theres a washing machine in the outhouse which works fine and a washing line in the garden. Be careful with kids as there are tools and gardening stuff in the outhouse which also needs a sort out. The garden is sort of dog friendly depending on how much your dog likes to explore but there are two additional gates to stop them being able to get out onto the road, they might just get out into next doors patio. Aldi is a couple of minutes walk away once you get your bearings and theres a big Tesco less than 10 minute away, near the tram. Theres a really good Thai restaurant and a fish and chip shop close by. Also recommend Tide which is a nice cafe/bar. The Picture House wasnt great. There is a nice walk along the coast path to Beer and the buses to Lyme Regis, Beer and Sidmouth are frequent and recommended. The tram is different and a nice experience. All in all it was a lovely restful holiday in a nice cottage. Hide

Somewhat dark in Lounge , although bedrooms were light and comfortable with nicely laundered bedding and towels. Note the bathroom is downstairs. Garden requires extensive maintenance as gloomy and overgrown. on the plus side if you are looking for a centre of town location this is perfect as short walk to seafront, plenty of places to eat and driRead morenk without needing to use car, shops nearby for food Hide
