  • A delightful semi-detached brick and flint cottage for two
  • Featuring original wooden beams and other delightful features throughout
  • Centrally situated in a charming Norfolk village by the coast

Property code: OC-2178

A beautifully presented brick cottage set in the idyllic village of Weybourne on the rugged Norfolk coastline, this romantic bolthole is a wonderful escape for a couple and their four-pawed companion. Spot the local fishermen at work during a seaside scamper on the pebbly shores of Weybourne Beach (600 metres), then stretch out to chomp a chew on the courtyard while the humans sip a coffee.

This stylish property is brimming with rustic charm and features low wooden beams, arched windows, and soft pastel tones throughout. Towel down your sandy pup then step into the airy lounge/kitchen/diner. Set the mood on the wireless speaker then refresh Fido’s water bowl and portion out his supper. Rustle up a meal for two in the kitchen and perch at the kitchen bar to pour a glass of your favourite tipple. Toast to your special occasion, then tuck into a celebratory feast at the fold-down dining table. After dinner, sink onto the plush sofa amongst the soft scatter cushions and cuddle up with a movie and a sleepy pup curled at your feet. Retreat upstairs for a relaxing soak in the bath then rest up in the tranquil super-king-size/twin which features timber panelling and arched ceilings. Soak in the scenery from the gated patio to the front of the cottage or throw open the patio doors from the kitchen and let your curious canine sniff out the shingly courtyard.

Waggy-tailed passengers can bound aboard the North Norfolk Railway from Weybourne to the Georgian town of Holt (4 miles) then snuffle along the historic Holt Owl Trail to load up on local culture. Sea-faring hounds will delight in spotting local sea colonies and basking in the salty ocean spray as they glide on a wildlife boat trip from Blakeney (6 miles), or wave-crashing on the sandy shoreline of Cromer Beach (7.5 miles).

  • 1 zip-and-link king-size bedroom which can be made up as a twin room on request

We loved the cozy cottage. It is small, but as a couple we had no problem with that. Easy walk through the churchyard to the Ship Inn where we had an excellent meal (make reservations for weekends). The back door garden area was really nice for our small dog to get outside in a secure area. The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom is on the uppeRead morer floor next to the bedroom. The shower is a little tricky, probably better to take a bath, but it is manageable. Had a fun day visiting Cley Beach and walking the trails at Holkham Hall with the dog. Hide

It would be useful to know if there is any alternative parking nearby. The space was tight (I only have a fiesta) but the guy in the end cottage was agitated about being close to his fence!

The cottage is small but well equipped and very clean. It stated clearly that showering could be an issue, we found it to be fine but it could be tricky for less agile people. Parking was tight, again this was stated , we were lucky that our neighbours while we were there also had a smallish car. The village of Weybourne is very pretty with a good Read morepub and cafe. We found everyone to be very friendly. Lots of good walks and places to visit. A lovely cottage, I would stay again. Hide

The cottage was very very clean butwe were not expecting it to be white so tiny. Although it had everything that was needed we just found it too small. Also, its the first cottage we have ever stayed in who do not leave a welcome pack. Not even tea and coffee.nothing

Too small, cobwebs all over the place and smells of dogs with urine and poo stains not cleaned up. The screen doesn't stop the dogs. Response from holidaycottages.co.uk: Thank you for your review. Well investigate this right away to make sure everythings in place for the next guest.

Stable Lads cottage is in a good location. It has been tastefully equipped but it is very small. The main problem as mentioned by other guests is the shower is unusable.
