Take a break away with your loved one, not forgetting your four-legged friend, and explore the beautiful market town of Richmond. The property is full of style and original features with a lovely patio and views of rural countryside and surrounding quaint cottages. From here, you can explore the historic castle and head off on meandering walks along the River Swale before heading back to this cosy cottage to curl up by the wood burner.

The property opens up into a welcoming hall, leading through to the open-plan kitchen/living room/diner with wooden beams lining the ceilings and a warming colour palette throughout. Two armchairs face the tall windows looking out into the garden, with the TV and wood burner off to one side creating a great space to relax, be it to watch a film, read a book or to simply admire the views. In one corner of the space is the small but perfectly formed kitchen area with chic cabinets, tiles and a breakfast bar for two where you can enjoy a cup of hot, fresh coffee in the mornings. The king-size bedroom is located upstairs with a beautiful bed frame, ornamental fireplace and plenty of storage for all of your belongings. What’s more, the room benefits from a tiled, modern en-suite shower room where you can refresh at the start and end of the day. Outside the cottage, there is a small, enclosed courtyard with seating so that you and your pup can make the most of the sunshine and have a drink out in the fresh air.

Get to know Richmond from your cottage by spending slower days strolling through the town, visiting the markets and stopping off at independent cafes which welcome dogs for a bite to eat. From here, you can walk along the River Swale over to Hudswell Woods for a trail that''s sure to get tails wagging, or venture further afield into the Yorkshire Dales National Park to marvel at its natural beauty and find a more challenging route to trek.

We had some issues and we contacted the owner. It was with regard towards a dirty unit and the cool box in the fridge. It hadnt been defrosted for a long time. I took some photographs and set them to the owner.

A lovely quaint little cottage tucked away in a nice quiet area of Richmond, having the castle as a neighbour was fantastic. Nicely layed out property with tasteful decorations. All amenities supplied and a very welcomed little hamper on arrival. 3 minute walk up the hill and your in to the centre of the town.

A lovely cottage in an ideal location for walks in local area and visits further afield. Very quiet at night and a very good log burner. Within a stones throw of the town centre and a short stroll from the waterfall.
