Offering sea and country views at every turn, this lovely three-storey home just outside Mortehoe sleeps eight people over four bedrooms and welcomes two canine companions. Spacious and stylish, it’s the ideal hideaway for families or groups of friends who want to spend blissful days walking their pups along windswept beaches, and cosy evenings chatting around the wood burner. It’s also a fantastic place to celebrate a special occasion.
Step inside and you’ll discover a welcoming lounge. If it’s winter, curl up with a good book by the wood burner, and if it’s summer, throw open the bi-fold doors that open out onto the raised deck. The garden is enclosed, so there’s no need to worry about your pups. When it’s time for dinner, cook up a feast in the stylish kitchen and then enjoy meal in the dining area. Alternatively, head out into the garden, fire up the BBQ and dine alfresco while you soak up the sea views. After dinner, enjoy a drink on the raised deck area, or head to the lower-ground floor to have a little fun in the games room. When the day is done, you’ll find four gorgeous bedrooms to choose from.
Tails will wag when you go for walkies along the South West Coast Path. There’s a pretty 3-mile circular route from Woolacombe (1.5 miles) to Potter''s Hill that boasts some fabulous views of Morte Point. Keep your eyes peeled for seals. Or pack up a picnic and head to Saunton Sands (9.5 miles). There’s a zoning system in place, so you’ll need to keep your pups on their leads for the first five minutes of your walk – but then they’ll have 3.5 miles of free-run sand to go crazy on.
