A quaint flintstone cottage from the outside, open the door of this holiday escape to reveal slick, contemporary interiors. Welcoming and bright, it’s an ideal place to switch off and recharge your batteries with your other half and four-legged third wheel. This lovely cottage makes a perfect base for exploring the North Norfolk coast, as well as getting to grips with what charming Holt has to offer. You’re right in the thick of it here, with a fascinating array of independent shops and eateries almost literally on the doorstep.
This elegant end-of-terrace cottage offers a comfortable open-plan living space with charming finishing touches. The lounge/kitchen/diner has bright, natural decor with modern furnishings as well as a statement wood burner in the original red-brick chimney and a bespoke open staircase adding architectural interest. The sleek kitchen has all you’ll need for preparing meals to eat at your very own table for two. Open the back door to the cute suntrap courtyard for an inside-outside vibe if the weather’s playing ball. Upstairs, the lovely king-size bedroom features the red-brick chimney breast but otherwise is pared right back, lending it a calm feel. The smart shower room is found up here too.
Holt town centre is all around you, but once you’re done with its Georgian beauty, head slightly out of town for Holt Station. You and your canine chums can hop aboard a steam or diesel train to Sheringham on the North Norfolk Railway (aka the Poppy Line) for a different perspective on the area. Holt is also right on the edge of the extensive Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – great for wonderful walkies. Treat yourself to fish and chips or a Cromer Crab in Cromer (10 miles), after enjoying more sandy shenanigans on its beach.
