A trip to historic castles is sure to set tails wagging as you wander around the ruins of 12th-century Pennard Castle or Oystermouth Castle (11 miles). From Oystermouth Castle, you can visit nearby Mumbles and enjoy the local seafood and ice cream and a walk along the sandy beach.
