Lovely cottage in an excellent location with parking. Well equipped, clean and comfortable. Very close to the nearest pub and centre of the village plus only 5 min walk to the beach. Couldnt want for more.

Hollyhocks is in a great position in the village .The cottage was warm and the beds were comfortable but the seating rather low throughout and lighting in the sitting room poor . Steps into the kitchen, the main bedroom and at the top of the stairs might be a hazard for anyone with mobility problems

Position brilliant & lovely village. We have stayed in this cottage last year, but will not return due to the following deterioration in quality: unkempt garden; low standard of house cleanliness generally (e.g. fridge not cleaned, shower outflow blocked with hair); fridge icebox iced over, dripping into refrigerator constantly & making it difficuRead morelt to close fridge; welcome pack advertised but non provided (also noted in Visitor's Book by other guests). On arrival, the back door could not be locked from outside and was near impossible to lock from the inside. We were very concerned about not being able to safely lock the house, but after I called into the Southwold Holiday Cottages office, the team kindly arranged a repair within 48 hrs. Response from holidaycottages.co.uk: Thank you for your review. We are sorry for your experience and are grateful for the feedback. Lots of instructions were missing from the welcome folder e.g waste bins. A welcome pack would also nice - maybe tea/ coffee and milk. A spare set of keys would be helpful.

A nice comfortable cottage in an excellent location. We arrived after a long journey and looked forward to a cup of tea, but no welcome pack! The seating area at the rear felt rather enclosed and could be made to feel more welcoming if the surrounding shrubs were trimmed back.

Cottage in a good position in Walberswick. Very comfortable. Lack of kitchen and cleaning equipment but fine if you intend to eat out for main meals. WiFi fine but we could not get a signal for the TV all week. Love Walberswick and surrounding towns and villages. Have stayed before in other cottages but not many are dog friendly. Able to walk to SoRead moreuthwold. A welcome pack would have been a nice gesture even if it was just a pint of milk! Response from holidaycottages.co.uk: Thank you for your review. We have been using Suffolk Secrets for a number of years and must confess this was probably our best stay yet. The decor of the property was first class. Beds and linen clean and comfortable as was the furniture. Cannot thank you enough for allowing us to stay at Hollyhocks.

This was our third stay booked through Suffolk Secrets. The location of the house was perfect for our needs; however, we were slightly disappointed that there was no Christmas tree for our stay. This is a hard one as the cottage and the village ate so lovely. However, it is right opposite a pub which us not just a quiet village pub. They have a licence for weddings and private parties in a marquee attached at the back. This went on til midnight on the Saturday and the Wed of our stay and it was like sitting in a nightclub in the lounge of Read morethe cottage. This wasn't what we signed up for when we booked a holiday in a "sleepy village" and really spoiled the experience. Hide

Fabulous cottage right in the centre of Walberswick. The cottage has everything you need for a stay by the coast and has been equipped to a high standard. Excellent walks from the doorstep either along the river and beach or inland. Great pubs and an excellent Deli in the village too!
