Pack up the whole family, including your canine chum, and escape to this lovely three-bed modern house in the quiet rural location of Little Petherick. This characterful property is perfect for making magical memories while recharging those batteries. With spacious open-plan living, you’re guaranteed a really comfortable stay. It’s ideally located for exploring further afield, with foodie favourite Padstow just 3.2 miles along the Camel Estuary.
This stylish holiday home is spread over three floors. The generous open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is a bright and airy space on the ground floor with a corner fitted kitchen and dining table with benches as well as the comfortable sofas and TV. And with smart hard flooring, it’s really practical with a dog in tow. From the lounge a painted exposed staircase leads to the first floor’s two king-size bedrooms with doors onto the Scandi-vibe balcony affording lovely countryside views. Up again and there’s a charming king-size bedroom with cosy sloping ceilings and Velux window. All three bedrooms have light decor with pops of colour and modern furniture for a calm ambience. Outside, there’s a spacious paved patio with outdoor furniture and a BBQ, accessed by French doors.
Padstow is a main draw from here with food spanning from fish and chips to Michelin-starred. But besides eating, Padstow retains some of its former fishing village charm with plenty to see. While there, hop on the ferry over to Rock (yes, Rover can go too for a small fare) to explore across the estuary or just to feel the wind in your hair/fur. Or take advantage of the ‘Seven Bays for Seven Days’ with visits to Trevone, Harlyn, Mother Ivey’s, Booby’s, Constantine, Treyarnon and Porthcothan bays (all between 3.7 and 6 miles) for some unforgettable beaches. Just ensure you check any seasonal dog restrictions.
