Your three dogs will live like royalty in this stylish semi-detached cottage, which enjoys stunning views of the countryside surrounding Bamburgh (1.5 miles). Laid out over two storeys, the cottage offers an open-plan living area, four spacious en-suite bedrooms and an enclosed garden ripe for family time after a day exploring the Northumberland Coast AONB.

This cottage has been finished to an incredibly high standard, with the decor and soft furnishings in its fresh and characterful rooms shimmering in natural light. The open-plan living area, complete with an inviting lounge, stretches the entire length of the ground floor, with bi-fold doors at the kitchen/diner end offering instant access to the garden. Adjoining the living room is an en-suite super-king-size bedroom, while three further en-suite bedrooms - two super-king-size bedrooms and a king-size bedroom - await on the first floor. Soak up countryside views from the comfort of the patio terrace hot tub before a BBQ, walk the dog around the adjacent paddock or enjoy a range of leisure facilities in and around The Gathering Place, the perfect spot for get-togethers with friends staying in adjoining cottages.

With its selection of dog-friendly shops, a tennis court, a golf course and a vast sandy beach guarded by an 11th-century castle, Bamburgh (1.5 miles) is bursting with activities for the whole family. The absorbing shoreside walk from Bamburgh to the fishing village of Seahouses (5 miles) is tiring but totally worth it, with plenty of amenities around its bustling harbour. Budle Bay (1 mile) is popular with twitchers and you can introduce the dogs to puffins and grey seals during a trip to the Farne Islands (6 miles).

The cottage is clean and well equipped, the welcome pack is lovely. We enjoyed the outside space , the hot-tub and the excellent location. We would happily book it again.

The Duke was a well equipped house with great downstairs living space. Generous bedrooms each with great en-suites. The tennis court, table tennis, space for football were a great hit with our teenagers. It was disappointing that the bedroom configuration specified on the booking form had been overlooked. So we had to call up (on hold for 10 mins aRead morend cut off twice due to poor phone signal) to ask it was rectified to two twin rooms not 2 doubles for 4 teenagers. After another call, this was prioritised and resolved that evening. Thank you. The stair gate was also missing which we requested due to our dogs. One was provided that night but it didnt fit properly and was inadequate. If we had had toddlers it would have been dangerous as it fell down multiple times every day. More attention to detail on setting up house as per booking details is required. We would stay again but would hope these points would be addressed for future guests. Hide

Beautiful spacious property, with high end finishes. Properly equipped property everything you could possibly need was thought of. Standard of cleaniness was terrible,no stairgate for baby,s requested,when one was provided parts missing. Bedding stained and black hair all over covers.,provided with new bedding to make beds up ourselves,not much better.Oven roasting dishes put away covered in grease,new ones supplied but to big for oven.over all very dusty ad we needed to cleanRead more floors ourself,also bath was not cleaned properly. Very disappointed in the whole experience,would not recommend, given the cost of The Duke expected a much higher standard. Hide

The Duke Cottage was exceptional. Very new, very clean. Top quality fixtures and fittings. Plus all the facilities you could possibly need including BBQ, charcoal, Wood for woodfire, 2 dishwashers (!), excellent fridge/freezer, etc...Beds were huge and spacious. Each one with it's own ensuite. Cottage was warm, with good privacy, parking right outsRead moreide for several vehicles. In very quiet and convenient hamlet, with beautiful views, but only 20 mins walk from Bamburgh or a 1 mile drive. Cottage also came with local butcher's voucher and golf voucher for Bamburgh golf club. Great welcome pack on arrival too. Thank you. We had a great 60th birthday family celebration.
