Property code: OC-GD1926

This luxurious yet quaint stone-built cottage sits in the bustling fishing port of Seahouses on the Northumbrian coast. Sleeping four people over two bedrooms and welcoming two canine companions, it’s perfect for romantic couples or small groups who want to take some spectacular coastal walks with their pups by their side. You’ll love dining alfresco in the garden and your pups will adore stretching out in front of the wood burner each evening.

Step inside this terraced cottage and you’ll find an irresistibly-cosy lounge/dining area. Sink into a sofa and make yourself at home by the wood burner before you head to the bright, contemporary kitchen to put your culinary skills to the test. This lovely space features original wood beams and is equipped with everything you need to whip up a fabulous feast. Enjoy an intimate meal in the dining area and after dinner head back in to the lounge area to watch a movie while your pups snooze by the wood burner. When it’s time for bed, you’ll find two lovely bedrooms on the first floor.

Expect tails to wag, because your pups are welcome at both Seahouses Beach (0.5 miles) and Seahouses South Beach (0.5 miles) all year round. A little further afield, they can also enjoy a run at Bamburgh Beach (3.5 miles) – a very special spot where a breathtaking castle dominates the skyline. Alternatively, head down to the harbour (0.5 miles) and take your pups on a boat trip to the Farne Islands. Dogs aren’t allowed at the bird sanctuaries on the National Trust islands, but the boat crew will look after them until you return.

Parking is an issue. Cottage reasonably comfortable, not 5* but this was reflected in the price which was good value.

Well located in terms the town, harbour and walks etc. The pub is literally 5 yards from the front door and busy but no bother. Cottage lacked some essentials as in no basic instructions anywhere. Not even any soap by the sink. Otherwise it was clean and comfortable.

Nothing to say here apart from an excellent location and an even better place to stay. I have already recommended it to another family member.

Great location, the parking let it down but we did manage to get a space by moving the car a few times over the week, we knew this from the reviews but didn't realise that all other spaces in surrounding streets were reserved, could Seahouses not reserve the spot outside the property like others? Really nice touches with clean blankets, throws, niRead morece bedding, linen, towels, dressing table and a hairdryer. Hide

The cleanliness wasnt up to scratch for an advertised 5 star accommodation and the noise at the weekend from the pub across from cottage was really bad. Reply from holidaycottages.co.uk: Thank you for your feedback, we apologies the cleaning wasn't up to standard for your stay. Please know we have raised this with the owner to resolve.

The cottage itself is lovely - really thoughtful decoration and exceptionally clean. The only thing that really let it down for us was its directly opposite a very noisy pub which stopped us from sleeping until gone midnight. We are a young family so sleep is hugely important to us and we go on holiday to feel rested - truthfully, we came back moreRead more tired than normal! Otherwise, the location in the day is great, right by the sea front and near the shops. Hide

Lovely decorated cottage. Its small, but not too small for a family of 4, with a 14 and and 18 year old. Had everything we needed, apart from a coffee machine, but we brought our own stove top one :) As others have mentioned the pub across the lane is noisy, fri, sat, and sunday nights. But didn't ruin our holiday for us.

We had a fantastic stay in this little cottage. Was quite cosy for 2 adults, 2 children and a dog, but the location was incredible. 2 minutes walk from the seafront and beautiful beaches/coastal paths in either direction, and excellent pubs even closer for great food!

Overall our stay was lovely. Not really ideal for a dogs as shared outdoor area with no grass. The pub opposite was a little noisy. The cottage is very well equiped but armchairs very uncomfortable. The area is stunning with plenty of walks. Most cafes and pubs dog friendly.

Lovely cottage in excellent location a few steps away from harbour and pub (can be some noise on weekends, but didnt bother us in January) and short walk to local Co-op and shops. Cottage is well equipped but not many basic provisions for cooking (tea, decaf coffee, sugar, salt and pepper provided).

Lovely cottage right in the middle of Seahouses. On street parking may be an issue but we parked outside 90% of the time. Pub across the road but this wasnt any bother.Cottage is tastefully decorated with a homely feel. Good facilities within. We were a family with a dog and this was a good choice for us and we would stay again.
