With plenty of space for the pack, this cottage comes with six bedrooms and four flexible bedrooms to suit your guest makeup. Each of them is simple and finished with earthy tones, whereas the other rooms have easy wooden floors and bright highlights to contrast with all the greenery outside. Best of all is the lounge, which has a wood burner, comfy sofas and floor-to-ceiling windows which show off the incredible view of the mountain.
When you’re ready to head out, there’s plenty to explore. You’re right on the Cadair Idris mountain, and there are plenty of routes for climbing. The cottage is about a mile from Barmouth, with its dog-friendly beach and eateries. Once you’ve explored there, grab the ferry to Fairbourne where dogs are welcome on board. Fairbourne is another canine haven, and it’s not bad for people, either! You can also go to the Coed y Brenin Forest Park Centre where you can go geocaching, mountain biking and go on walks to waterfalls and through forests.
