No one needs to be left behind with a holiday at this two-bed house with fairytale good looks. This quirky cottage is conveniently located in the heart of the charming and historic village of Snettisham. It’s a Grade II-listed cottage offering holidaymakers the best of its lovely original features with well-equipped interiors and a welcoming feel that will make you feel like a top dog. It’s ideal as a romantic retreat for a couple or as a base for friends to explore North Norfolk’s sights and sounds.

Take a moment to admire the warm-coloured stone facade, beautiful windows and decorative roofline before heading inside your holiday escape via its listed door. The whole house cleverly mixes elegant, antique furnishings and period features such as Dado rails and cottage-style doors with modern fittings and design. You don’t have to worry about paws and carpets as there’s wooden or tile flooring throughout downstairs. The open-plan lounge/diner is a comfortable space with a wood burner in the whitewashed chimney and a dining table set for four. Sleeping quarters are upstairs, comprising one super-king-size bedroom (can be a twin) and one double – both are spacious and stylish. The cute courtyard outside is fully enclosed and affords good privacy with its attractive stone walls.

Walks abound here, so lead the way to adventure from this fabulous spot. Take a wander to the Norfolk Lavender Farm (2 miles) which houses the National Lavender Collection. Dogs are allowed in the main grounds/outdoors. For coastal canine capers, Old Hunstanton Beach (5.5 miles) is a great shout as it’s dog-friendly and offers miles of golden sand. Four-legged friends are also welcome in the grounds of the Royal Sandringham Estate (4 miles). Keen birdwatchers will enjoy Snettisham RSPB Nature Reserve (dogs on leads).

The cottage is comfy and well equipped. The location is exceptional, both within the village and in N.E. Norfolk, for walks, nature, history and culture.
