If you’re holidaying in a large group, this fantastic five-bedroom cottage with outstanding views of the River Dart makes the perfect escape for you and your pets. It has a private slipway, boasting unrivalled access to the water for kayaking or other water-based activities. The house has space for up to ten over five bedroom, so works well for a trip with extended family or a holiday among friends and their children. Three pets are welcome to come and join in the fun.

After leaving your coats in the hallway, step into a spacious lounge with breath-taking views of the river through picture windows, plus plenty of inviting sofas for relaxing. Sliding doors from here lead out to the glorious decked area. The large kitchen is excellent for whipping up delicious group meals, and has a small dining area with a bay window also yielding lovely views. The dining room offers a more formal seating setting. On the lower ground floor, there’s a nautical-themed games room with a pool table, a lovely space for relaxing with your family and pets. You’ll find a magnificent conservatory on the first floor, plus a second lounge area with panoramic views. The rooftop garden balcony at the top of the house has panoramic sea views; ideal for evening drinks watching the sunset. There’s also a well-maintained lawned garden complete with winding paths and a pond, where the dogs will love letting off steam. This offers access to the slipway, which has steps leading down to the water.

You’ll be 0.5 miles from the centre of Dartmouth, a vibrant harbour town with plenty of shops and pubs, historic houses and a twice-weekly market. For long, doggie-pleasing walks over moorland and through river valleys, Dartmoor National Park is just 16 miles away.  

Please be aware that the property is accessed via a lift and there are approximately 18 steps from the car park to the lift. Due to the nature of the access to the property, we advise that this property is not suitable for small children and those with restricted mobility.

  • Slipway and steps are open to the estuary with no guard rails, so unsuitable for unsupervised young children

  • There are no curtains in the second-floor twin bedroom and one of the first-floor 4ft double bedrooms
  • The property is accessed via a lift. Access to the lift from the car park is down two flights of stairs totalling 18 steps. Due to the nature of the access to the property, we advise that this property is not suitable for small children and those with restricted mobility.
  • There are strict weight limits on the rooftop car park, therefore under no circumstances are supermarket delivery vehicles allowed
