An elegantly converted stable located on a smallholding with sweeping views across the rolling Kent Countryside, this romantic bolthole is the perfect escape for an outdoorsy couple and their fur baby. Step out and soak in the magnificent vistas as you amble along the picturesque North Downs Way trails with your waggy-tailed companion by your side, then perch on the deck with a snoozy Fido by your feet and toast with a glass of bubbly as the sun dips below the horizon.

This rustic wood-panelled property boasts a fresh interior with clean lines, checked soft furnishings, and relaxing neutral tones throughout. Kick off muddy boots on the deck then pad into the cosy living space. Whip up some snacks in the stylish compact kitchen, equipped for all your catering needs, then sink onto the inviting armchairs and flick through your holiday snaps or plan out your next day’s adventure. Gather at the intimate dining table for a romantic evening meal then grab some blankets and stargaze from the deck while your curious pup sniffs in the crisp country air. Rest up in the comfortable en-suite king size room then enjoy a leisurely breakfast in bed before being hounded out for morning walkies.

Venture to the lively cathedral city of Canterbury, 12 miles, and soak in the rich medieval history of St Augustine’s Abbey before refuelling at a hound-friendly restaurant with the doggy-mad locals. Gear up for a picturesque three-mile pedal along The Great Stour Way from Cantebury to Chartham with an ecstatic canine bounding by your wheels or snap a blustery family photo on the clifftops at Dover Castle, 18 miles.

Arrived on December 20th, returned home on December 22nd... I booked the house through Holiday Cottages via chat because their server was down. Unfortunately, I couldn't read the description. As a dog owner, I certainly didn't book accommodation where dogs must be kept on a leash at all times and can't even go outside briefly to pee. There's no warRead moredrobe, no chest of drawers, no shelves, etc. Who wants to live out of a suitcase for two weeks? But the biggest drawback is the smoking ban on the entire property (and I'm talking about the outdoor area, not the indoors!). That's paternalistic! Hide

Lovely clean, comfortable little cottage, with all equipment provided that we needed for our stay. Very friendly helpful hosts, and lots of welcome items for both ourselves and the dog! It is a very rural and quiet location, ideally situated for driving to explore Kent and East Sussex. We would definitely stay again if we returned to the area.

The cottage is in a pretty, quiet location with 2 pubs in walking distance and right on the north downs way. It is a well equipped cottage with a very nice shower and reclining armchairs on the lounge. It was very hot whilst we were there with flies from the farm yard but the fan and flyspray provided was very welcome. Property is small but is spotlessly clean which more than makes up for that. Lovely location if you want peace and quiet it's perfect. On a smallholding so expect normal countryside noises, this didn't bother us at all not even the Cockerellin the mornings. Jane the owner was on hand if we needed anything but wasn't fussing around all the time. AnoRead morether bonus Hide
