Bring the whole pack (up to six humans and two canine chums) to spend quality time in this gorgeous six-bedroom gem with its trendy interiors offering generous spaces that are flooded with light. Converted from a 19th-century farmhouse, it’s been thoughtfully renovated to keep the best of the old mixed seamlessly with a modern and stylish aesthetic for an extremely comfortable and relaxing break for any group of friends or family. The location is brilliant for the coast, which you can see from the house, with Croyde Beach within 300 metres – perfect for stress-free walks with four-legged friends (check restrictions).
There’s space to breathe in this fabulous farmhouse – from the classic-styled lounge, complete with sofas and big bay window, to the convivial kitchen/diner with its more modern vibe. Here, lovely parquet flooring runs throughout, from the understated but incredibly well-equipped fitted kitchen that flows into the dining area easily seating six at the modern wood table to the French doors in the large bay window that open onto the south-facing garden. Upstairs, sleeping quarters comprise two spacious king-size bedrooms with additional comfortable seating and ornamental fireplaces. There’s another smart twin bedroom but one king can become a twin upon request. The enclosed and private garden has both a patio with loungers and a BBQ and a furnished lawn area shaded by mature trees, so it’s perfect for both you and your top dogs.
Get to know the village as it can offer an alternative to self-catering on treat days. Croyde Beach has seasonal dog restrictions in place, but the dunes are always an option all year for walkies! Saunton Sands (5 miles) has dog-friendly sections all year. The South West Coast Path is another option for seeing this beautiful coastline with furry friends in tow as it’s almost literally on the doorstep.
