Treat your other half – and your four-legged friend, obviously – to a Cornish retreat at this quaint one-bed property in Trewellard. The beach is within 2 miles for those all-important walkies for humans and canine alike. The lovely conservatory and front courtyard garden at this house also afford great views of the sea in the distance. It suits any couple who want to get out and join the coastal path and experience the exciting coastline of this beautiful area.

The bright and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen at this lovely cottage makes a calming space you’ll want to linger in with comfortable seats, TV, a wood burner within a stone inglenook fireplace and more characterful touches like whitewashed stone walls and ceiling beams. The galley kitchen offers all you’ll need to whip up a feast. There’s a dining table in the conservatory along with sofas and there’s practical stone and wood flooring throughout downstairs. From the lounge, a quirky spiral metal staircase winds its way up to the double bedroom and shower room. This light-flooded space feels cosy and modern, with light wood furniture, sloping ceiling plus a window seat for admiring the sea view. Outside, a paved garden area has furniture for al fresco dining to  enjoy the wonderful views and glorious sunsets.

Great walks abound for a scenic way of tiring the dog out. If you fancy a night off cooking, the village pub serves homemade fare and welcomes two- and four-legged guests. But this spot is also within easy striking distance of some of Cornwall’s top sights. Check out local heritage at Geevor Tin Mine Museum (0.5 miles) or the National Trust’s Levant Mine & Beam Engine (1 mile). Dogs on leads can visit the former but only the wider grounds of the latter. The marvellous Minack Theatre is also within 10 miles.

Lovely peaceful location yet everything on your doorstep for some great days out. Two very nice pubs for a very nice evening meal after a long day.

The cottage is only accessible down a thin back passage - do not think about taking a modern car down there unless you are very good at reversing. The garden gate was just hanging on, the 'postbox' was badly rusted so if you touch it, something will fall off. There was a lot of rusted things about, suggesting a lack of maintenance. Inside the cottRead moreage was quite small - compact. The spiral staircase quickly became less charming as tall or wide people have to negotiate with care. Generally, it was a pleasant stay; clean and tidy. Hide

We really enjoyed our stay, what a fab little cozy cottage close to the sea. Settled in a very welcoming village, we enjoyed the local pub and Meadery, their chicken in the rough is a must!! Totally relaxing week!!

A lovely little cottage in a nice quiet location close to many different beaches. Lots of nice places to eat nearby. If you are a little infirm or have mobility issues the stairs could be a problem (spiral metal staircase) but thats the only issue. Lovely to be able to see the sea from the window.

Although small - the cottage is best described as cosy and adequate for two people with all the necessary equipment to want for nothing.

Just what's needed. The conservatory is needed yo hang wet clothes. Dogs were secure in the yard, but the local cat know just how to wind them up. Sorry to the neighbours for the barking

This cottage is ideal for two people, in a very quiet location. It is very well equipped, well heated and a lot effort and thought has gone into making sure that guests are well catered for. It has an enclosed paved garden that is dog proof (we have a Border Terrier). There were very clear instructions concerning the practical issues I.e. the rubbiRead moresh and also lots of relevant information re places to visit etc. Hide

More suitable as a summer let, so that one can make full use of conservatory. Location pretty good but not being able to park car at property a minus. Room for improvements.

It's smaller than expected, but very cosy. Ideal for exploring the surrounding area. Perfect for coastal walk and some amazing coves nearby. However, the photos were misinterpreted, as the sea view was not as we envisaged. On the whole an enjoyable and chilled holiday.
