Collar this contemporary three-bed house, set among similar properties in the village of Westward Ho!, and feel like a top dog. Bathed in light, its stylish interiors are also really spacious and you get stunning views out towards the sea over the marshes from many rooms and the veranda. The clever ‘upside down’ layout of the house really takes advantage of these vistas. Open-plan living awaits here with large, angular windows and luxurious touches throughout. This des res works equally well for a multi-generational group of friends and/or family plus your very own VIP – very important pup.

Leave dog towels and shoes to hand in the spacious entrance hall. Downstairs, the garden room is good for reading or general quiet time with the breeze coming through the open bifold doors. The elegant bedrooms offer bright and roomy sleeping quarters down here too in the form of two king-size and one twin bedroom. All three have slightly individual decor and are gorgeously calm spaces. Upstairs, the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is an impressive space that’s brilliant for spending quality time with friends and family. There’s lots of comfortable sofa seating, dining furniture for six and a sleek, contemporary kitchen area under its wonderful cathedral ceiling. Wide bifolding doors open onto the furnished balcony with its views over the Burrows. Downstairs, the garden has a lawn and furnished patio with a BBQ, just right for languid summer evenings.

There are shops, pubs and restaurants within 0.5 miles if you fancy a treat or short outing. Test your bravery at Westward Ho! Rock Sea Pool, a tide-refreshed open sea water pool dating back to Victorian times (no dogs, sadly). Back on dry land, lead the way to adventure with your best furry buddies covering stretches of the stunning South West Coast Path.

Beautiful house with amazing view and lovely quiet location. Liked westward ho though beach was windy. Privacy in garden was non existent due to proximity to golfers. House was great though, lovely sofas, kitchen and plenty of bathrooms. Would return.

Lovely place to stay and from the balcony there is a stunning view of Northam Burrows country park and the distant pebble ridge and sea beyond. Modern and clean throughout with a seaside holiday theme. Quite enjoyable watching the golfers, especially the golf shots into the pond!

We had a very enjoyable family stay at Dormy House over Christmas, the decorated tree was a lovely surprise. The house is spotless & very tastefully decorated, the light fittings have the wow factor. It has a beautiful view over the golf course & Northam Burrows nature reserve. It is ideally located for the beach, walking into Westward Ho! & to ApRead morepledore & Instow and further afield. Having just spent a week at Dormy house we found the property to be in an amazing location with fantastic views. The property is modern and really clean with everything you could want to hand. Situated just a 10 to 15 minute walk from Westwood Ho! where we found many great places to eat along with other attractions to keep the whole family happy.

This was our second stay at Dormy House, the location is excellent both for the coast and for visiting National Trust, RHS and other gardens. It is very quiet and the Golf Club is very handy for a good breakfast or lunch. The accommodation is very comfortable and facilities are excellent with good wi-fi etc. Thinking about a third visit.
