Slip into a slower pace of life in this period cottage in the picturesque village of Bradley. Sleeping four guests and one furry companion, the property makes a great couples’ retreat or bolthole for a small family looking to switch off and relax. Enjoy countryside walks and pub lunches from your front door, or journey just 3 miles to the bustling town of Skipton, with its great selection of independent shops and eateries.
The holiday home sits in the middle of a row of pretty, split-level cottages, and is full of period character and charm, including exposed beams and stonework. The cosy lounge is a gorgeous place to relax after a long walk with the woofer, with comfortable seating and a wood burner to warm your toes and paws. Steps lead to a bright and airy kitchen/diner, where you can cook up a storm and come together for evenings of great food and laughter. The bedrooms – a king-size and a twin – have been tastefully decorated and both have en-suite facilities. A flight of steps from the first-floor landing leads to the outdoor seating area, where you can dine alfresco and take in the breathtaking scenery.
The idyllic village of Bradley is a great base for keen walkers and four-pawed explorers, with a fantastic selection of tracks and trails branching away from the village. You can also enjoy relaxing strolls along the towpath of the Leeds-Liverpool Canal, which passes through the village. Touring the historic town of Skipton (2.5 miles) makes a great day out. The focal point of the town is Skipton Castle – one of the best-preserved medieval castles in the country – and Rover is welcome inside on a lead. After a potter around the town’s ancient, cobbled streets, wander amongst the carpets of bluebells in Skipton Castle Woods.
