I missed the paddle stairs when choosing the place but we managed. It's a great quirky little place and we found it ideal for touring and walking and exploring. The log burner was a lovely touch and the welcome pack generous.

Nice, comfortable and in a good location. The only problem was the stairs which were difficult to navigate, particularly when going to toilet in the middle of the night.

What a gem: Penny Cottage is a lovely place to stay. The fittings and furnishings are great, it was very clean and the kitchen was very well equipped. Its a 150 year old building so the downstairs ceilings are a little low (watch out if 6ft or over) and the staircase steep but that it adds to the charm of the place. Its very well situated in a loveRead morely quiet village and a great place to explore North Norfolk. Adam came to say hello and introduce himself along with some homemade wine (it was lovely) and came to our rescue when we stupidly locked ourselves out. The welcome hamper was very thoughtful and much appreciated, it even included treats for the dog! A wonderful and comfortable place to stay, if Im ever back in Norfolk I would definitely see if Penny Cottage was available. Hide

Pub within walking distance closed Sunday, Monday, Tuesday nights, therefore not much of a selling point. And the staircase was a challenge (we are fit and able), but would be a massive issue for those with mobility issues - shouldve made clearer on website. The cottage was really lovely, well equipped, clean and well maintained. My reason for the low score for the description on the website was the sreepness of yhe stairs was not fully described.
