Explore the North York Moors National Park and scenic coastline when you escape to this beautiful farmhouse retreat that’s perfect for a family or group of friends. Enjoy the walking trails in search of the finest sticks for your four-legged friend to chase during a stay in this characterful cottage. Spend time dining alfresco in the enclosed garden after busy outdoor adventures.

Upon entering this quaint, charming cottage, you’re met with the cosy living room which features a flagstone floor and a wood burner for warmth, as well as two sofas where you can sprawl out and watch a film on the TV. The kitchen has everything you’ll need to cook up a family meal, with a terracotta tiled floor and chic wooden cabinets offering ample storage. Meals can be served up in the bright and airy dining room, where you can open up the French doors and allow the fresh air in whilst your canine companion stretches their legs in the garden. Or take your plate outside and sit up on the garden furniture to eat in the sunshine. Completing the ground floor is the cloakroom with a downstairs WC. On the first floor is a king-size bedroom with a pretty window seat, plenty of storage from the built-in wardrobe and an en-suite shower room for additional privacy. There is also a twin bedroom which can be made up as a king on request which has a vaulted ceiling and boasts an en-suite bathroom.

Visit Pickering (2 miles) to wander through the bustling market town in search of dog-friendly eateries and trinkets to mark your travels. From here you can hop aboard the North Yorkshire Moors Railway to visit a number of iconic places in the area including Whitby and Goathland – otherwise known as Harry Potter’s Hogsmeade Station. Just 8 miles away, visit North Riding Forest Park where your dog will have a ball sniffing through the trees on one of the many excellent walking trails.
