An exceptional property with a main asset: its fabulous garden that we enjoyed at its best at this time of year. Trees in blossom, birdsongs, a fantastic view on the surrounding hills, it was just picture perfect ! We just regretted not spending more time marvelling at the setting as we had come to hike in North Devon in the first place. Being blesRead moresed with a wonderful weather last week, we would have been perfectly happy just eating out on the terrace and enjoying the view we had on and around the garden. Hide

We spent a relaxing week in this lovely cottage. The living space is homely, the sofas and beds comfortable and everything was clean and welcoming. Internet was good enough for us to watch Netflix etc., which the children (young teens) were happy about! The kitchen was well equipped with all the essentials. The location is great: a couple of minuteRead mores walk from a decent pub (food only served at weekends, but we had a nice Sunday roast), close to a little shop and walking distance (25mins) from beaches. The pizza van parked outside the pub on Thursdays was an added bonus. The village is a restful, pretty place; we really loved the peace and birdsong. We were sorry not to be able to sit in the garden, which is lovely (it was a bit cold and rainy in April), but still enjoyed the views from the windows. We had some lovely walks on the beaches and on Exmoor, and it was lovely coming back to a cosy, comfortable cottage. Hide

We stayed as a couple with our dog and found the cottage very cosy and comfortable. The garden was completely enclosed which was perfect for our dog. The location was perfect and we found plenty of circular walks to do nearby by using the Komoot app. Very well equipped comfortable cottage which we would happily return to.

Court Cottage was wonderful. We went in November for a wet and windy week but still were able to go for plenty of interesting walks and trips in the area and come back to a cosy fire and cottage. The garden was lovely though we didn't really spend any time out there but in the spring / summer it must be fantastic. The coastal walk along from Mortehoe is incredible as is the Valley of the Rocks. The cottage kitchen was well equipped as we like to cook on holiday, plus the welcome basket was amazing, especially the bread mix so we could make rolls for soup on a wet day in. We were also incredibly lucky that the Globe had re-opened the week before we came. The local post office and village shop was also great. Thank you for a lovely stay. Hide

Beautiful garden with great views from the patio and loved the sheltered seating area. Comfortable property with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Location is great- quiet, pretty village with local shop and parks for the children. Local pub was closed, which was a shame. Rural setting but short drive to the coast and beaches.

Court Cottage is a stunning place to stay, situated in a beautiful village. The cottage exceeded our expectations and both the house and the very long garden were immaculate. Our hosts were very helpful and even provided a wonderful welcome basket on our arrival. Location wise, the cottage is well placed. We visited Ilfracombe, Lynton/Lynmouth, HelRead moree Bay, Combe Martin and Watermouth Cove during our stay which were all fantastice, (albeit we had great weather)! Our favourite beach was Broadsands which is very close to the village, (in fact most places of interest are accessible on foot). All said, a fantastic stay which we would highly recommend. Hide
