Have a ball at this beautiful seaside retreat that offers a quintessentially British holiday along Norfolk’s deeply historical coastline. Offering charming accommodation for a family of three and two dogs, it is a former fisherman’s cottage and sits at the heart of the popular maritime town of Wells-next-the-Sea. An ancient port with a bustling harbourside, the town also boasts a large sweep of beach backed by pine trees and is a beautiful place to enjoy a traditional beach break.
Boasting a gorgeous brick and flint facade, step across the threshold and discover the delightful open-plan kitchen that’s been decorated in a contemporary country style – and with a compact dining area and plenty of storage, it offers a lovely space for mealtimes. The cosy living room is a very inviting space; let sleeping dogs lie in front of the wood burner while you catch up on TV or plan your next day of adventures before heading up the cottage-style stairs to bed. The property offers two well-appointed bedrooms: a bright and spacious double and a delightful single bedroom, ideally suited to children and teens. On the first floor, you’ll also find the family shower room. Outside, the attractive shingled courtyard is the perfect space for dogs to bask out in the sun, whilst you enjoy your morning coffee in tranquil surroundings.
A great location if you want to park and walk for the duration of your holiday, Wells-next-the-Sea is a thriving port town and its lovely swathe of beach can be reached on foot, just 1 mile away. Quayside is just 300 metres from the property and an ideal spot for crabbing, or you can browse the array of independent shops and boutiques before enjoying a hearty meal in one of the dog-friendly establishments. The Wells and Walsingham Railway is also conveniently 1 mile from the cottage.
