Keen canines might also like to attempt a section of the High Peak Trail from Pikehall, 3 miles away. This stretches 17 miles across the national park, from Dowlow near Buxton to High Peak Junction at Cromford. Head 5 miles to the lake at Carsington Water, where you and your chum can stroll together along the shores.
