Enjoy canine capers at this contemporary three-bedroom house, set among similar properties in the village of Westward Ho! Bathed in light, it boasts oodles of space and offers mesmerising views over the marshes, dunes and out to sea from both indoors and the balcony. Open-plan living awaits here with large windows and luxurious touches throughout. Family-friendly, it works well for a multi-generational group of friends and/or family plus up to two VIPs – your very important pups.

The spacious entrance hall has plenty of room for towelling off damp dogs, which is always a good start. This ‘des res’ incorporates a clever ‘upside-down'' layout to capitalise on the views, too. Downstairs you have a snug, family bathroom and the three bedrooms: one en-suite king-size with French doors; one en-suite double; and one twin with French doors. All three have slightly individual decor and are gorgeously calm spaces. Upstairs, the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is a showstopper and simply perfect for sociable gatherings. This generous space houses ample sofa seating, dining furniture and a sleek, contemporary kitchen area under its cathedral ceiling. Wide bifolding doors open onto the furnished balcony for an ‘inside-outside’ vibe. Downstairs the sheltered garden has a lawn and furnished patio with a BBQ, just right for sleepy hounds.

You’ve got shops, pubs and restaurants within 0.5 miles. Don’t forget your bucket and spade for the large expanse of sandy beach (at low tide) and check out the many rock pools. If swimming’s your thing, test your mettle in the Westward Ho! Rock Sea Pool, a tide-refreshed open sea water pool dating back to Victorian times. Great news, it’s free! Bad news, no dogs (boo). Back on dry land, lead the way to adventure with your best furry buddies covering stretches of the stunning South West Coast Path.

We were at Breckly for the May Bank Holiday heat wave . A lovely airy home with wonderful views and sea breezies every comfort provided.

Fantastic location looking out over the Burrows, the golf course and to the sea. A really clean and well managed holiday let, with extremely good housekeepers who contacted us by phone in advance, creating a friendly welcome. Would highly recommend.
