With its gorgeous classic features, elevated position and outstanding river views, this wonderful dog-friendly property is a glorious home away from home on the English Riviera. It’s in Kingswear, a charming character village perched on the River Dart estuary, next to a creek where you can take the dog for a woody morning walk. The house has several outdoor areas for soaking up the idyllic setting, as well as a beautifully decorated interior with three homely bedrooms and two bathrooms. With space for up to five humans and one dog, this lovely house is perfect for a family or group of friends.
Once at the house, reached via 32 steps from the main road, you’ll enter a hallway where you can hang up your coats before stepping into the welcoming lounge and dining room. Each of these rooms is stylishly decorated, with sash and bay windows, artwork on the walls and an original Edwardian fireplace. The dining area consists of a elegant glass table plus chairs for six. The fully equipped kitchen, which is located at the rear, has wooden work surfaces and spotlighting. Outside, the large deck at the front of the house is ideal for sizzling up a feast on the BBQ (with an extra sausage for your pet) which you can tuck into using the wooden table and chairs. Up the steps you’ll find a wooden cabin complete with electricity, lighting and furniture, creating another area for relaxing. Bi-fold doors open out to the wooden balcony, making this a supremely pleasant place to kick back with your family and pet.
Walkers will be pleased to discover you can join the scenic South West Coast Path 1 mile away, worth checking out with your pet in tow. The large, lively town of Dartmouth is just 2 miles across the river, and can be reached via a ferry or road bridge.
