Get the whole gang together at this beautiful farmhouse sitting on the owner’s working farm in the heart of Brecon Beacons National Park. Sleeping 15 people over seven bedrooms and welcoming three faithful friends, it’s perfect for large groups who want to relax and reconnect while they discover the Brecon Beacons with their pups by their side. Spend a happy afternoon exploring Talybont Waterfalls, and in the evening, come home to host a sociable dinner around the cottage’s large farmhouse dining table.
Pull up in your private parking spot and step inside your beautiful farmhouse. You’ll find three resplendent reception rooms: a spacious sitting room with a wood burner, the morning room with a wood burner, and a cheerful conservatory with farm views. When it’s time to eat, cook up a storm in the country-style kitchen, and then share a sociable meal at the traditional farmhouse table. Alternatively, step outside and dine alfresco on the patio. Afterwards, take a stroll by the small stream that trickles through the garden, or head to one of the reception rooms to unwind with your loved ones. When the day is done, make your way to the first floor and you’ll find five bedrooms – two king-size (one with a hand-carved four-poster bed), two doubles and a handy single. On the second floor, you’ll find two double bedrooms – one with an en-suite bathroom and one with an en-suite shower room. Two smart family bathrooms, both with a shower over the bath, and a handy shower room complete the layout. In the morning, wake up and tour the farm with the owner, who is passionate about conservation.
Take your pups for walkies at Gilestone Pond (0.25 miles), a tranquil haven that’s bursting with wildlife – just remember to keep your canine companions on a lead. If you have the kids with you, they’ll love meeting the animals at Cantref Adventure Farm (7 miles), and your pups can join in the fun too.
